Kickstarter

The first week in November marks the completion of a decade-long dream to complete my Master of Fine Arts, embodied in the form of a final thesis show. Nouf Aldahash (Saudi Arabia) is my show partner, and opening reception is election night - Nov. 6, 6-9pm at Claremont Graduate University!  

Throughout the duration of completing this degree, I have lived in-between Claremont, CA and Seattle, WA, which quickly became one of the central factors in the work I created over the last year and a half, and which remains a significant part of my work as I consider processes in memory, consciousness, narrative and passages of time.  This very reality of living in-between cities is also the subject of a new film I plan to show around the same time as the thesis show.  

Last summer I was thrilled to be supported by so many generous individuals via a Kickstarter project while I worked away in my Claremont studio.  It was an invaluable time to research, make a lot of work and unearth the central concerns shaping my practice.  The film you are viewing in conjunction with this project emerged thanks to the time and space made available to me by the amazing support I received last summer. 

Now, with the show drawing nearer, I once again come to the Kickstarter community to help me get through the final stages of making this show happen.  Currently I am working from my Seattle, WA "studio," and will be heading back to Claremont in August to kick preparations into high gear.  Any support is received with my immense gratitude (and some very cool original artwork awards)!
