This documentary tells the story of The Warehouse, the infamous New Orleans music venue open from 1970 - 1982.
First let me say thank you for considering our project. This project has been blessed by great fans since day one. We have funded the majority of this project through t-shirt and poster sales as well as generous donations from ex-employees and fans. All crew members volunteered their time for free because they knew this film needed to be made. With your help hopefully we can bring this film to the festival circuit with an awesome sound track.
OUR FILM
A Warehouse on Tchoupitoulas is a documentary on an old New Orleans music venue. We will follow the life of the building and business from inception to demolition through stories told by ex-owners, employees, musicians that played there and of course, the fans.
THE STORY
On January 30th 1970 the Warehouse opened it's doors to thousands of fans to see The Flock, Fleetwood Mac and The Grateful Dead. In the ensuing twelve years some of the best musicians in the world would grace the stage. Including - The Allman Brothers, Bob Dylan, The Doors, Pink Floyd, The Who, Bob Marley, David Bowie, Foghat, Jethro Tull, The Clash, The Talking Heads, Rush, Dr. John and many many more. We are filming this documentary in an attempt to capture some of the magic that so many of us missed out on.

OUR PROGRESS
We traveled around the country finding the best stories and pictures from old fans and employees and are done with principle photography. We have found our editor and are ready to hand the footage off to him.
OUR NEEDS
We have just enough left in the budget to pay the editor but we need this extra money for music licensing. Songs can run well in to the thousands and a music based documentary needs to be filled with great songs. We have set our goal at $20,000 to ensure we can have at least 2 or 3 good songs in the film but we are really hoping to go well beyond that so we can give The Warehouse the soundtrack it deserves.
OUR REWARDS
Here are our two t-shirts.

THE BANDS
Here are some of the band photos we will be using in the film. These were all taken inside The Warehouse.

Bob Marley

Jerry Garcia

Pete Townshend
