Kickstarter

I am a visual effects artist by profession, but my passion has always been creating artwork for my wife and kids.  Six years ago, to show support for my daughter's interest in the Environment and her enchantment with Greek Mythology, I decided to depict her as GAEA, the Goddess of Earth.

I have been caught off guard by the interest shown in this piece, and with the encouragement of those close to me, decided to look into sharing my artwork in a more public forum.  I saved up money, and then stopped working in January 2010 (and by "working" I mean getting paid, I've been working my butt off since then) to focus on the art.  I was planning on taking off 3 months.  I wasn't planning on becoming completely consumed by this piece, intoxicated by the joy of creating it. 

I plan on showing this body of work at Art Expo NY, Mar 22 - 25, 2012.  However, I'm quickly realizing that between the exhibition and promotional fees, not to mention the actual printing and framing of the artwork, the costs add up quickly.  I am looking for any financial support that will allow me to finish this vision.

P.S.  The video itself is a layer-by-layer deconstruction of FLOWING MEDITATION, a small part of the overall image depicting my daughter reclining as a river, falling into a meditative state.
