About this project
ABOUT
"A Map in the Dirt" is a 15 page short comic by Jess Smart Smiley about a group of animals running from a common threat and the tragedy that follows.
HOW / WHAT
With your support, "A Map in the Dirt" will become a collectible book! I'll be printing 500 copies of the 15-page story (plus extra images and information) at 6x9" with a perfect binding. Books will be available online and at various arts and comic book festivals, conventions and receptions.
In return for your help, I'll be offering:

Jess Smart Smiley is a 6'3" bipedal creature, native to Utah's rocky mountains. He spends his days drawing, cooking and biking, and drools over the thought of making pictures for a living. Jess can be seen selling and drinking lemonade on the corner, climbing tall trees, lifting extremely heavy things with his mind, and generally making merriment.
