Digital Voyages' musical destinations (Part Two)
With less than 80 minutes remaining in the Nubuwo Summer Bundle initiative, we take a look at the contents of the Digital Voyages music pack.
Developed independently by a small team in Switzerland, Mirage was nominated for an Independent Games Festival award earlier this year. The below photograph was taken during the Game Developers Conference after a performance of live music from the racer Krautscape, which shares members of the design team.
Andi Bissig, on the far left, is a jazz musician who is currently writing the score for Mirage and also arranges game-inspired music in his spare time. (See his 16-bit demake of JoCo's end theme to Portal.) Music from Krautscape by Phil McCammon is available to sample on SoundCloud.

Last year David Kanaga received an IndieCade award for his music for Proteus, a collaboration with game designer Ed Key. He is currently working with Canadian game creator Shawn McGrath on the hallucinatory racer Dyad for PlayStation Network. The Digital Voyages pack includes several sound sketches created from the game's adaptive audio components.
All copies of Dyad will ship with "The Machine," a rotating arcade cabinet, which requires some assembly.
To get a sense of the Dyad composer's familiarity with gaming audio history, take a look at his free live music set Frog Plays His Videogames. The forty-minute music track mashes up classic console game themes from Chrono Trigger and Journey to Silius with sounds from contemporary indie titles.
Other music featured in the Digital Voyages pack includes two music tracks by Zach Parrish from Soundstory and Windhaven. Five music tracks from Clairvoyance, composed by El Huervo, will be featured in award-winning game designer Erik Svedäng's upcoming multiplayer board game. Three pieces from Danny B's score to The Binding of Isaac: The Wrath of the Lamb are also featured, together with lossless music tracks from Videogame Music in Context, composed by Matheus Manente.
