Update #19: May Day May Day! When's it' gonna be pay day?!
Hellooo out there is Kickstarter land. Tomorrow, May 2, 2012, we are finishing all the riddim tracks for "The Daughter".
I tried to upload some rough mixes for everyone, but I have been having crazy internet upheavals around here, so I hope in the next few weeks I will be able to get those files uploaded.
We will finish these tracks, then I am finishing all guitar overdubs and the viola is on the schedule as well as my percussion man.
I have contacted my friend Mark Hallman to see if can take me on as a client- he owns Congress House in Austin and has worked with me in the past; I need a producer. Still in touch with The Boiler Room guys, but we are having so much fun recording here, who wants to leave???

Update #17: Winter is Gone....
Well it's been interesting- Murphy has been hard at work and lucky for me, Jesus is bigger! Someday all will be revealed.... Mike, our wonderful engineer had a massive health problem intercede into our plan. I would have loved to be far done with our tracking by now, but he is in recovery and we will be back in the saddle in April.
Good news.. we are making progress and I am almost ready to start vocals on the first three songs, and testing of microphones is underway; as soon as the, boys are back in town, we are finishing the riddim tracks for the last 6 pieces. I have been preparing 3 tracks to upload for you all to hear as soon as I can, so you can listen to the music as we go along.
Stay tuned..... p.s. we do have bluebonnets galore! Happy spring,

Update #15: Fall has Fell!
Hello friends- we have been hard at work and re-did the three tracks here at my studio. We have bass, drums and I am starting the guitar overdub for those three songs. We have our next session Nov 14th as everyone is totally busy and traveling a lot.
The new tracks sound really full and rich and I am excited about the rest of of the process. I am also starting on the t-shirt art this next few weeks still getting a visual in my head. Hoping to have all riddim tracks done by Christmas! I have found a percussionist and working on getting viola and flute tracks written! I still need a great second guitar/soloist!

I have been involved in the music business since 1971, but was writing original music prior to that. I have been in bluegrass, punk, gospel, psychedelic, folk, ska, Tex-rock and space-rock-gypsy bands for all this time. The common thread is original songwriting in each venture.
I live in Mason County Texas where I have been recording many others at my recording resort for the last 15 years; I have also founded and operate Texas Songwriters in the Round, an original music project benefiting the community and artists.
In March 2011, myself, Chris Maresh and Art Kidd began the process of recording my first solo CD of all original music. We have been going under the name, Enchanted Rock, but I write and manage the songs & production. We are working with the Boiler Room Studio in
Austin Texas, affording me the opportunity of using their great facility and world class production.
The CD is entitled. "Prodigal Daughter" inspired by my sister, Judith. It will have 10 songs when completed.
I was also a finalist in the Stage Baron's songwriters contest in Bullard, Tx! I have been writing and performing for many years and look forward to this new adventure. Check the San Angelo link for a recent article about my music!
