About A Dream Undone
A Dream Undone is an independently-published coming-of-age novel, written by Jeremy Bronaugh, about a teenager dealing with love, death, and borderline personality disorder. We are adapting a chapter of the novel into a professional-level short film that will bring the novel to life, allowing it to reach a new audience.
Who are we?
A Dream Undone's production teams consists of:
Jeremy Bronaugh; the novel's author, as well as the writer, director, and producer of the short.
Eric Hovis; an accomplished cinematographer who will be the project's director of photography and technical director. He has worked on about 80 video projects, and about 10 feature films
And it will star Grant Niezgodski as the novel's protagonist, Brody.
As well as a dedicated team of actors, production assistants, and a stunt driver.
Why is A Dream Undone important?A Dream Undone is a love story cut short by suicide. Brody, the protagonist, turns to unhealthy mechanisms to cope with his growing pain and frustration.
This is a story that is all too real to many teenagers. Suicide, death, cutting, alcohol and drug abuse affect countless teenagers, and this book tries to give them a voice.
Where will the money go?
All of the money we collect will go directly into the production of A Dream Undone. We need money for the wardrobe, make up, a rental car, renting one shooting location, and general production expenses. Everyone working on this project is doing so because they think it is a story that needs to be told and are donating their time. Anything left over will go toward funding the next awesome project.
Why are you asking for so little?
This film will showcase how far talent can go with very little, proving that low budget filmmakers can create films that are on par technically and artistically with what Hollywood-level budgets can create. We have many projects to make, and this will showcase what we are capable of producing.
