Hey there!
My name is Jennifer Leigh, and I am a singer songwriter in Denver, Colorado. I am working on recording my first-ever full length album with full instrumentation. You can check out my debut EP (5 songs, piano and voice only) at jenniferleigh.bandcamp.com, and hear some of my passion-made music. I spent all my money creating that EP, and now I am in need of a full length, true represenation of what my live music has to offer.
I write jazz/pop/indie music that speaks straight from my heart in a forward, and honest way. My music is that of love, pain, lonliness, and personal strength-and I know that it has a place in the world where it can touch others....I just have to get it recorded!
The plan:
Sowell Sound Productions will record and produce the CD. My musicians: Glen Kulasekere, Chad Harrison, Dane Clark (My live band), and the additions of incredibly talented artists such as Tavis Alley, Lauren Gale and Matt Morse from Monroe Monroe. At this point, due to funds, the project could take up to a year to record. With your contributions, what will begin in late April, 2011, could be complete and ready to release before 2012!!!!!!!!!!
So, with your contribution, you are directly assisting me in the payment of an expensive process: recording, mastering, and reproducing this album. It will also assist in creating the cover art. Without the contribution of a record label or those of you that support the arts and live music, this is an impossible task.

As you know, I appreciate all help I can get. There are a few reasons I would prefer you use kickstarter. 1-If I don't reach this minimal amount of money, I won't be able to make use of any pledges, and therefore I won't be able to create this CD. 2-I am not allowed to back myself on Kickstarter.com. I have already put in money of my own to cover costs in this project and others, and I'm sure in the end will put in more...but if you give direct to me, there is no way for me to place it into this fund myself.
