Our Story
"The End Stays The Same" is a short film that was written by Jeff Peterson and Carla Griffith. Our goal is to create a comedic short film that will be submitted to the Sundance Film Festival, as well as several other festivals. (Filming begins in Summer 2012)
Both writers will star as the two leads in this comedy of misunderstandings. They have acted in several local productions here in Michigan. Jeff was an English major and studied film at Michigan State University. Carla is the co-founder of Bold Development Productions. "We pride ourselves on taking on projects that push the envelope, dare to be different, and have a unique originality that touches the heart and soul."
The film follows Pete and Holly on a blind date. Holly thinks she discovers something very bad about Pete before they meet and eventually they both discover the ugly truth. The story will jump around to all the events before and after their date. It's a very funny script and the positive feedback has been overwhelming!
The Impact
This film will be made by Michigan actors and filmmakers. We want to make a high quality film that's funny, entertaining, and successful.
What We Need & What You Get
We need to hire an excellent film crew that has high quality equipment. We want this film to look and sound like it was professionally done. Money will be used for catering as well. Once the film is completed we will have posters and copies of the short film made for anyone who has worked or donated to the production. (We are $300-$500 short from our estimated budget. Hopefully more people will learn of our film project through Kickstarter and we can make a sweet film for everyone to enjoy!)
