An Acoustic Affair at The Smith Center

Sin City is considered by many to be a center for entertainment and is flush with talented independent musicians. Musicians from all over the nation want to come to Las Vegas and perform their original music on the many impressive stages. The problem is, there isn't a venue that cares to feature original music in Las Vegas!

In a city full of complaints about a distinct lack of culture, there is a vacuum of support for new artists.

That's why, in the style of MTV's iconic UnPlugged series, An Acoustic Affair was designed. This monthly showcase will put independent music on the stage in Vegas and Vegas on the dream list of musicians everywhere.

Unfortunately, there isn't a venue in town willing to foot the bill for such a show. So we are turning to the crowds, the fans, the friends and families of bands and musicians all over town to fund this unique showcase.

An Acoustic Affair will:

• Pay it's artists! (What other original showcase does that?)

• Stream live worldwide

• Provide a promotional DVD with full performance AND interview to artists

• Provide a high quality audio CD of the performance

• Welcome all genres of music (so long as it can be presented in a live acoustic performance)

• Maintain a video archive online of all performances

• Produce and Distribute a compilation “Best Of”album featuring the best of the series (CD and Digital Download)

• Produce and Distribute a “Best of” DVD

There is NOTHING else in Vegas, or anywhere, that matches what this series will give the community and musicians who experience it.
