About this project
This project is the third installment of my ongoing effort to re-create my old TSR / Dungeons & Dragons artwork – which was reportedly destroyed* by some thoughtless functionary to make room in TSR’s files. Last time, I re-created 16 drawings that I did for the 1980 AD&D module Q1: Queen of the Demonweb Pits! This time around, I’m re-creating my artwork from the Norse chapter of the original 1980 edition of the AD&D book called ‘Deities and Demigods’. Eventually, I plan to make a whole collection my re-created TSR illustrations available as an art book.
BONUS! 17 illustrations were 'missing' (the spaces were left blank) in
the Norse chapter of the original Deities & Demigods book. For each $220
raised beyond the original goal, I will create a NEW illustration to fill one
of those blanks.
The Missing Gods:

*Note: A few pieces are known to have survived, but in most cases there's no way to know. I am therefor re-creating everything.

Jeff Dee has worked in the gaming industry for over 25 years. His artwork appeared in numerous games and magazines, including TSR's Deities and Demigods (as well as many AD&D modules and other early TSR products), adventures for the Star Wars RPG from West End Games, and others. He co-designed Villains & Vigilantes, TWERPS (The World's Easiest Role-Playing System) from Gamescience, and Pocket Universe from UNIgames. Jeff has also worked in the computer games industry on games such as Ultima VI, Master of Orion, Master of Magic, and Wing Commander. He was the art director on Ultima VII, and the lead game designer on The Sims: Castaway Stories. Jeff currently works as a freelance artist and game design consultant and operates the paper game publishing companies Monkey House Games, with V&V co-creator Jack Herman, and UNIgames with partner Talzhemir Mrr.
Talzhemir Mrr is the artist and co-creator of FURCADIA, a multiplayer online game for the PC featuring anthropomorphic animals. She is also the co-designer of TWERPS (The World's Easiest Role-Playing System) from Gamescience, and co-designer of Quicksilver, the fantasy rpg from UNIgames. Her career began as an artist and writer on Ultima VI. She has also worked for Apogee (now known as 3D Realms) and Optigon (now known as TEN, Total Entertainment Network).
