About this project
People are always asking me if I still have any of the original artwork from my days as a staff artist at TSR Hobbies, the original publishers of the world's first fantasy role-playing game, Dungeons & Dragons. Unfortunately, I don't. TSR kept it in their files when I left, and one day (so I'm told) nearly all of that artwork got thrown into a dumpster. It's gone.
So here's the plan. I'm going to re-create my old TSR artwork! All of it, eventually - starting with all 16 of the drawings I did for the Egyptian chapter of the original 1980 edition of the Deities and Demigods manual!
If this project is successful, next month I’ll launch another one - to re-create all of my drawings from another chapter of Deities and Demigods, or perhaps from some other Dungeons and Dragons book. And so on. Eventually, I plan to make a whole collection my re-created TSR illustrations available as an art book.

BONUS! Eight illustrations were 'missing' (the spaces were left blank) in the Egyptian chapter of the original Deities & Demigods book. For each $200 raised beyond the original goal, I will create a NEW illustration to fill one of those blanks:

Jeff Dee has worked in the gaming industry for over 25 years. His artwork appeared in numerous games and magazines, including TSR's Deities and Demigods (as well as many AD&D modules and other early TSR products), adventures for the Star Wars RPG from West End Games, and others. He co-designed Villains & Vigilantes, TWERPS (The World's Easiest Role-Playing System) from Gamescience, and Pocket Universe from UNIgames. Jeff has also worked in the computer games industry on games such as Ultima VI, Master of Orion, Master of Magic, and Wing Commander. He was the art director on Ultima VII, and the lead game designer on The Sims: Castaway Stories. Jeff currently works as a freelance artist and game design consultant and operates the paper game publishing companies Monkey House Games, with V&V co-creator Jack Herman, and UNIgames with partner Talzhemir Mrr.
Talzhemir Mrr is the artist and co-creator of FURCADIA, a multiplayer online game for the PC featuring anthropomorphic animals. She is also the co-designer of TWERPS (The World's Easiest Role-Playing System) from Gamescience, and co-designer of Quicksilver, the fantasy rpg from UNIgames. Her career began as an artist and writer on Ultima VI. She has also worked for Apogee (now known as 3D Realms) and Optigon (now known as TEN, Total Entertainment Network).
