Bringing Ranch Bakery To The Masses.

THE PROJECT

Ranch Bakery is looking to purchase a delivery truck and turn it into The Bakery Bus.  We will use it for food sales, deliveries, fund raisers and marketing.  Costs include purchase, repairs, a flip up door, outfitting, insurance, & licensure.  Oh, and a giant pair of longhorns for the front & a horn that plays "The Eyes Of Texas"

WHO ARE WE?

Ranch Bakery is an awesome "scratch" bakery known for edgy items like the Sexy Beast, the Hot Mama, Black Velvet Cupcakes and Big John's King Kong Ding Dong.  Aside from our more over the top offerings we make the best authentic Texas Kolaches, Soft Pretzels (stuffed with everything from bratwurst to Cuban Pork), Cowboy Cupcakes, plus a ton of cool items you just can't find anywhere else. 

The only problem is we are saddled with a terrible location.  We decided to open the bakery at our catering kitchen because we had the storefront and equipment already in place.  It's a perfect site for our catering company to service West Houston, but an unfortunate one for a retail store.  We are located right in between 2 large suburbs of Houston, and while we have tons of fans that love our stuff, it's hard to get them to make the drive.  Since building another bakery is out of the question for us at this time, we have decided that we will bring the goodies closer to home.

We are already a successful bakery that has a strong following.  We have a small suburban storefront and have been in operation for over a year.  We have been featured in 2 TV news stories, written up in 3 local papers as well as a national baking industry magazine and taken first prize in a number of kolache contests.  What we make here is amazing, we just need to extend our reach to the surrounding areas and businesses.

WHY WILL THIS BE SUCCESSFUL?

We are not looking for speculative funds to start up a business that could get bogged down in local red tape, or unexpected expenses.  We have a vehicle picked out, modifications planned and can be up and running as fast as 8 weeks from funding.  EVEN BETTER, all rewards will be paid out within 2 weeks of funding except for the founders party, which will be in January.

NOT YOUR AVERAGE FOOD TRUCK

While it's primary purpose is to extend the reach of our storefront, it will also serve as a platform for the many fundraisers we do.  Ranch Bakery has a program for non-profits to raise money through their purchases at the store called Raising Dough.  The Bakery Bus will allow us to bring the fundraiser directly to the non-profit and their events.

GIVE THIS MAN A JOB

By adding this vehicle to our bakery, we will be able to create 2 jobs, 1 full time in the bakery and one part time position as a driver.  They say small business is the engine of the economy and we are trying to do our part.  The guy pictured above moved from the East Coast to find a better life here in Houston and we'd like to give him a hand

WHAT  DO YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT KICKSTARTER?

The most important thing you need to know is that Kickstarter is an all-or-nothing model. That means that we have 30 days to reach our goal, and if we don’t reach it we won’t get anything (don’t worry, though—Kickstarter waits until a project reaches its goal before debiting any credit cards, so if we don’t reach goal you won’t lose any money). 

WHAT IF WE EXCEED OUR GOAL?

If we exceed the $20,000 goal, we will put the money directly into tricking out the vehicle.  We want this vehicle to stand out!
