I recieved my delivery notification on the 25th of June saying it should have been recieved between the 4th and 8th of July however I am still yet to recieve it....

When using the grip plate make sure it is stuck to the center of your tablet.
You can tighten the shaft thread into the ball it will have a slight hold at the bottom.
The pad support is designed to rotate freely counter clockwise. The lower edge of your tablet should rest s on the edge of the table or your leg.

I love this thing! But is anyone else having this problem: after I tighten everything up and start to type on my iPad, the rectangular sticky base gets "unscrewed" from the ball. The ball is still locked in the socket but the ipad just spins on the pad pivot and it's very hard to type. I've screwed the base as tightly as I dare because I'm afraid of breaking it. Any thoughts?

Dusty, it's nice to read that using the PadPivot is growing on you. I hope even more while using it as it was intended. Don't try this at home kids! Never use the padpivot as a handle the grip plate is not designed for this type of use.
Although a creative use, not recommended and read those instruction;). Thanks for sharing.

I used my PadPivot to attach my Motorola Xoom to my car's steering wheel while I sat in a parking lot waiting for my fiancee (for 1.5 hours).
It held up pretty well using it that way. Kinda neat unexpected feature. :-)

It is designed to rotate freely counterclockwise. This allows 1/4 turn to move from landscape to portrait seamlessly and allows the ball to spin to tuck the support under and fold up the PadPivot. see the set up video above. When on your lap the lower edge of the tablet should rest on your leg preventing rotation and tension on the ball prevents a tablet from tipping side to side. The force is down through the ball so the shaft can't automatically unscrew. In game mode remove all tension from the ball. This allows free tilt, pivoting and rotation but you should use the strap and be sure to hold on to the tablet as it can tilt on its own.
I use the PadPivot with HD racing all the time and you never have to continuously rotate in any direction. My lap times are much faster now;) You can move 360 degrees, 180 right, 180 left and this is all the rotation needed. If you screw the shaft tight into to ball there is a slight hold but generally it should rotate freely.
I hope that helps to clarify the design intent for you Adam.

I want to like it a lot but I've got a little problem, (maybe me), I'm not sure but when its all set up if I turn the ipad like a steering wheel the 'screw' comes loose and it just keeps swivelling, when I tighten it up its off centre so I go to put it to centre but that untightens the screw again! is it something I'm doing?? thanks

Received my PadPivot Double Pack today. After watching all the video updates, I thought I had a pretty good idea of what they would be like. To my surprise, they are even better than I thought they would be! I'm a toolmaker by trade and have mould making experience, so when I give praise on a product like this, it means something. To Bernie & jim, you guys have done very well and should be proud of what you have achieved. To all us backers, we've shared in something great and have a fantastic product to show for it.

I got the two PadPivots a couple of days ago, and I am very impressed with the high quality of the device. It has a great soft feel to the hard plastic. It has become my favorite accessory for my iPad. I had no idea that it would be as useful as it is. Love it!

Design Feedback:
Jim and Crew--First, I -love- my PadPivot! I haven't had a chance to use it while out and about and needing to leg-strap it yet. That time will come soon, I am sure. For now I've only used it as a table stand on your avg table-like device (dining room table, coffee table, meeting table, etc).
So, here's the feedback--when I use it with my iPad in Letter Orientation (as opposed to Portrait), I cannot have the cable plugged in, unless I have it upside down (not a big fan of that). Not sure whether you could make it more arched, or what, but there you go. For now I have it hanging a little off the table, but that won't work in every situation.
Anyway, again, AWESOME product! Thank you so much!
