Any pledges above the $2,000 goal will be used to make the CD that much better. They mean extra time in the studio. They mean upgrades to the CD itself, because each CD costs more or less depending on colors used, number of pages in the booklet, packaging, etc. They give me the funds to market this to radio, churches, ministries, hospitals, etc.

Hi! My name is John Albert Thomas, and I am solo piano composer. I've released three solo piano CDs so far, but I need your help funding this next one.

My fourth solo piano CD, Now I Sleep, is designed to bring emotional healing to families who have lost a baby. Ten families who lost a baby have agreed to be interviewed by me. After each interview I have taken my notes to the piano where I composed an original piano work in honor of their baby. It's been a very emotional experience to say the least.

This CD will make a wonderful gift for hurting families around the world because it will contain a 10-12 page color booklet that includes the heartbreaking stories of these ten families to be read while listening to the music. People struggling with the loss of a baby need to know that they are not alone. This CD will bring a sense of comfort when words are not enough.

After sending a preview recording to one of the moms, here's what she had to say:

I've been listening to the piece that you wrote for Isaac over and over since you sent it to me. It is absolutely beautiful! I know I already told you that, but I thought I would tell you again. I feel that you have captured his story in this lullaby perfectly!! Brings tears to my eyes everytime......I can't wait to hear the finished piece! :)

• Record and master the album at Piano Haven, a professional studio in Seattle designed for solo piano artists like me. There are many long-term marketing benefits associated with recording at that location, including the opportunity to perform a free online concert from the studio on January 29th. Total cost of the flight and studio time will be about $2,000.

• A beautiful gift CD like this requires a layout and design that appeals to the public. With a 10-12 page booklet, design will be about $900.

• The first batch of CD manufacturing usually requires a minimum order of 300 CDs, which cost about $1,300.
