If you’re rolling in big paper money and fork out that much cash, you get a 48” x 48” original piece, your name featured in Memoirs du Franc, a copy of the book itself, and if you live in NYC a free dinner for 2 at Lil’ Frankies pizzeria. (If you don’t live in NYC but can afford to donate this much, you can probably afford to buy a plane ticket here. Doooo it!) *international shipping fees not included

WHO IS JASON WOODSIDE?

Jason spent his childhood on the sandy shores of St Augustine Florida, passing most of his time in the ocean. Some people say he got too much water in his ears and it watered the crazy seed in his mind, but something started growing inside of him. It made him start painting weird pictures of the sea and strange characters who lived there. He started drawing all over the place with street chalk and by age 11 he was selling hand made t-shirts to everyone in his class.

But like everyone else, as Jason got older he tried to ignore these feelings, instead paying more attention to what the outside world told him. Business school sounded like a smart thing to do, but after 5 minutes of his first class Jason realised he didn’t actually want to be a businessman. So he dropped out and went to the School of Visual Arts in NYC. Still not that stoked, Jason thought it would be a good idea to try his luck at film school in LA. After driving to LA and sleeping in his car for a while, he upgraded to a tepee in someone’s lounge. But Jason didn’t get into film school. He was broke, jobless and lived in a tepee.

But he still had this feeling inside, urging him to create. He started to pay more attention to it, and continued to paint and draw. He ended up finding himself a job. Quite a good one, designing the clothing line for fancy duo Milla Jovovich and Carmen Hawk. Other kind of a big deal people started to notice his art too - like pop-artist Romero Britto; who collaborated with Jason on several projects. Soon Jason had too many paintings to fit inside the tepee and while drawing ladies clothes was fun, he decided to move to back NYC to concentrate on his art.

By the time he was 25, Jason had exhibited his art in Sydney, Miami, Los Angeles and New York City. Now at 28, he wants to embark on something bigger than just paintings and has spent years developing a master plan. He also has a new business/love partner from New Zealand who can’t name drop as well as he can, but is involved in developing this epic empire of creativity. As well as being super talented, Jason likes pizza, skateboards, his weener dog and of course, the beach.
