I'm going to construct a tesla coil from scratch and donate it to the local community college.
I'm Jason Wolf. I'm a multimedia engineer. I have a background in physics and have create many electrical engineering related devices / projects.
Currently I'm building a half-a-million volt table top tesla coil that I going to give to the physics department of FootHill college here in Silicon Valley. This tesla coil is very inspiring to see and I'm hoping that with construction, donation and demonstration, younger minds will be more attracted to physics and the study of the inner operations of nature.
The coil will be constructed in just a matter of a few weeks (once funded) - it will go through a few days of calibration and testing, and then I will officially donate it to the community college. (I have no affiliation with the college, never went there either) I need about $1500 dollars to buy all the parts for building this.
My aim, like I said is to inspire a younger generation.
During the entire creation process I will document (film) the building as a reward option.
