Where's the Honey?!
Hello Friends!
It's come to my attention that people interested in backing Bike·a·Bee are missing something: HONEY! I was thinking this might be the case, so I've added in two new pledge levels:
$55 - Gives you all of the above gifts, plus a 4oz jar of honey
$110 - Gives you all of the above gifts, plus a lifetime 20% discount on all of our raw honey.
IF YOU HAVE ALREADY PLEDGED AT $50 or $100, I've made note of who you are. If before January 13th you pledged $50, you'll get the 4oz jar of honey, and if you pledged $100 you'll get the lifetime 20% discount. Kickstarter won't let me alter the gifts at those levels, hence the creation of the new ones.
Now, for a word on the Bike·a·Bee honey: Sometimes it's recommend that beekeepers refrain from taking a honey from first-year hives. So, I'm going to see how they do their first summer and determine if I can take a portion of their honey or not. I'm confident I will have enough honey to fulfill the pledge levels listed, so no fear! But, I couldn't put honey gifts at every level because a) I won't have that many hives, b) the amount of honey the first year might be unpredictable, and c) I want to make sure that the hosts of the hives receive a fair amount of honey for my use of their space.
I hope this helps answer some questions! Thank you all for your support so far! Keep spreading the buzz!

Yeah....that "no honey" the first year used to be a rule. Ignore it.
....just make sure that, to kickstart (ermm....no pun intended) the hive, you should block it and feed them sugar-water initially. (http://www.waldeneffect.org/20110928frontbeefeeder.jpg)
