Kickstarter

The Jam in the Van crew is made up of true music fans based in Venice, CA.  We decided to put together this project to go and find the great music that we know is hiding out across the American landscape, and we want to put it all on film.   We will be traveling throughout the United States to find and record good music.  Our first trip will be to South by Southwest® in Austin, TX in March, 2012 but it's not just about the festival; it's about what we discover on the way in those random places where music lives.  We will capture those musical interludes in life that don't yet pop up on our televisions and computers everyday.  We will seek out those hard to reach places that great people are sitting in, but whom we may never see unless we go out and chronicle them within our Jam Van Journey.

This project will show and promote the talents and lives of the artists that we meet, while simultaneously creating a story about life on the open road in America.  Our small team includes experienced photographers, videographers, digital media editors, and sound technicians.  Amazing musicians and artists are already featured on our website, our Facebook page, and our Twitter feed.
