Thanks, Matt!
I assume by bearded character you mean the titular Mr. Blackwell, who is actually based on a way-too-generous backer (also named Blackwell) - just one element (a big one) of the book that directly came out of the whole Kickstarter experience. But now I feel like I need to read some Cortazar (been meaning to read Hopscotch for ages - one of these years...).
Congratulations, Jamie, it looks great and I can't wait to read it. I've been meaning to ask, is that bearded character based on Julio Cortázar? (http://librosdementira.com/publican-libro-con-textos-ineditos-de-julio-cortazar/)
Jamie: It's great! I can't wait to continue. Love, Dommie
Jamie! just thinking aboutcha. Checkin up on the project. It looks great. I can't wait to see the full package. You have such a great odd stand out nostalgic style. Keep it coming.
Very cool, Jamie. Congrats on all the progress you've made. And thank you for giving us a detailed peek into your process. It's fascinating!
Jamie, I received the commissioned art a few days ago, and it's just awesome. Great job. (When things calm down for you, let's talk about another potential commission!) The Burghers of Calais shall be seen by everyone!!! Thank you very much and good luck with the project!
Ever since seeing Aviary on my local comic book shop's shelves, I've been looking to find more. And now here it is, in the making! Thanks for the great work and inspiring updates!
Best comment ever! Ladies and gentlemen, I give you Chris Pitzer (and if you don't recognize that name, go to http://www.adhousebooks.com immediately for some of the best comics around (and some of my own, too))...
Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
I thought for sure I would get to be the one to bump it over $6500! I've been watching like a hawk but couldn't afford to donate $50. Anyway, I'm looking forward to watching this project take shape!
Charlie - thank you, sir! Good to have you on board (and even better to hear a new ISR episode). Quitting comics? Couldn't if I tried. But this way I'll make a new one relatively soon...
Schnapp - get some sleep!
oops... I meant the car ride down to SPX....
derrrr.
JAMIE this is freakin' awesome... GET IT BRO! I heard months ago you were maybe quitting comics...so happy to hear you're not leaving us. Plus the car seemed empty with out your bald head. GB's and Neil's just weren't enough!!!
I look forward to Dave Attell drawing me a picture. Good luck dude!
Thanks Kelly! Your project looks really interesting. Man, there are so many worthy, inspiring projects on Kickstarter...
Hi Jamie - Love your project idea! I'm an unemployed artist who just launched my own project on kickstarter... I don't have a lot to pledge - but I wanted to help contribute in some small way. Best of luck to you in making this happen! If you get the chance - do check out my project as well.. working on establishing a nonprofit that will benefit artists upstate... a video post will be up soon.. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1916043154/hudson-valley-art-incubator
Cheers!
