Rare promotional poster for Q101's "Twisted Christmas": the very first Twisted event. Bands featured on the poster include Hole, Weezer, Bad Religion, Dinosaur Jr., Killing Joke, and Veruca Salt. This poster was created for the first-ever Twisted show, which led to an annual tradition that kept growing bigger each year.

The promotional poster for "Local 101 Volume One," signed by every artist on the CD: Dovetail Joint, Smoking Popes, My Scarlet Life, A Modern Joy, Fondly, Claire, Pulsars, Kill Hannah, The Rolls, Doris (featuring Paul Adelstein of TV's "Private Practice" and "Prison Break"), Liz Phair, John Huss Moderate Combo, The Aluminum Group, Atrixo, Certain Distant Suns, Local H, Massivivid, and Wilco. THE HUMAN BRAIN! I have, I kid you not, a cassette tape with a whole bunch of Lance & Stoley from...what, 1996? 1997? And on that tape, first thing, is when they touched the brain.
And it's still funny.

Cannot wait for this thing to come out! Let me know if you need any help.

Thanks JVO! This is going to be a great book!

I am glad to sponsor this. Q101 went to the alternative rock format when I as a junior in H.S. Although I have lived away from Chicago for many years, whenever I came into town I know I can tune in for a Beastie Boys fix.

@Ken Haha. Nice.
Creator Ken Proctor on July 14, 2011
@Brian - Hell yeah, I had the same ritual! Zoltar was one of the DJ's that was really influential as far as my musical tastes go. Everyone there contributed in their own ways though, and I wouldn't be the same without any of them. Hopefully he can cram them all into the book so we can all have a nice little memento of the people who influenced us so much.
Creator John Kronenberger on July 14, 2011
Awesome! Rock on JVO
Creator Brian Salata on July 14, 2011
Awesome. Looking forward to it. Give Zoltar a nice little section. My Saturday night ritual was watching Forever Knight, then heading out at midnight listening to Zoltar on the way to Aftermath or Exit.
