I'm a Chicago-based writer, former radio personality, and all-around nice guy.
Oh man. Just saw this now. I'll get the word out on Facebook and hope for the best for you.
You can listen to an awesome interview with James VanOsdol talking about this book on Chicago Public Radio: http://wbez.org/Content.aspx...
No book about the 90's Chicago music scene would be complete without the story of Dave Simon. Any Dave Simon in this tome?
Chicago = Good, Rock = Good, Nothing can go wrong with this! Good luck James, it's an honor to back the guy that I followed across the air waves during high school. JVO FTW!
i cannot wait to read this book!
i pledged. jvo may or may not know this, but i grew up listening to him on q101 for many years, on rides back from school. not only that, but: it would be completely insane of me to be writing a book myself and not support ventures similar to my own.
totally gunning for you to hit your goal. best of luck!
Nice project JVO!!!....Good to know you still care.....
Good luck with this! I love the idea!
James- you ROCK. Wishing you all the best with this project. We know you'll get it published! The Zub Club
