To our dear Family, Friends, and Kickstarter supporters,

      What an amazing adventure this last year has been! We never imagined what this journey would bring or that it would take so long and we NEVER could have done it without all of your prayers and financial support! With your help we were able to raise $11,345 of the $26,000 that we ended up needing to complete our EP - which is AMAZING!!!  We have been working extremely hard on finishing the album and on growing our ministry. Since last August we have played 200+ shows, witnessed hundreds of kids come to know Jesus for the first time (Praise the Lord!), made numerous trips to Nashville for writing and recording, and spent time in the studio in Waco with the fellas from the David Crowder Band! We cannot thank you enough for your continued support and patience throughout this process! We are proud to finally present you with our Stories To Tell - EP and hope that you will be as blessed by listening to it as we have been in making it!

JCB is still going strong and we've almost finished the busiest Summer we've ever had! God is doing big things in our ministry so please stay connected and praying for us! Also, we have a brand new website releasing on Wednesday with the new album, and we are STOKED about it! We'll be posting news updates, show dates, pictures from the road, special music releases, and some sweet new merch is coming soon! So definitely bookmark our site and check back often!!

Band- Please continue to pray for our journey as a band as we seek what the Lord desires for us. Please pray for our radio promoters and for the radio station program directors as they hear our music, and pray for continued opportunities to share our music with people!

James and Rachel- Please pray for us as we get ready to move and transition to a new chapter in our life. We will be moving to Montgomery, Texas in August because James will be the new Worship and Outreach Pastor at Fellowship of Montgomery. We are really excited to serve there and thankful for their overwhelming support of JCB! Please pray for our house to sell and for Rachel to find a teaching job. Also, please pray for Rachel's last months of pregnancy and that we would have a happy and healthy baby! :)

Brandon and Becca- Brandon's continued strong health and recovery from cancer and treatment! God has been faithfully protecting him and giving him incredible strength and patience through all of it. We're grateful for Brandon's constant example of trusting in Jesus even in the storms!

Jarrod and Alyssa- Please pray for Jarrod as grows his clientele of guitar students! God has given him an amazing talent, and he's decided that he wants to pour into others the same passion that he has for music! (If you're interested in guitar lessons... hit him up!! jarrod@jamescurlinband.com)

Wow! Starting this fundraiser was a really big deal for us as a band, and I can’t believe it’s almost over! We’re only three days away from the deadline with Kickstarter.com and it’s been an amazing and very humbling journey!

To be completely honest, I was very nervous about starting this fundraiser in the first place. I’m not very good at asking for help, and my biggest fear is that people would feel burdened by our fundraising efforts. We have worked very hard to reach this point as a band, and I’m never very comfortable with “advertising” our band or the things we’re doing and pursuing. I’ve wrestled with where we’re supposed to draw the line between sharing what God is doing in and through our ministry, and “pushing” ourselves on people. Our heart as a band is for God alone to be glorified in us, and never to be guilty of promoting ourselves for prideful gain. I had been thinking about this a lot over this last week of our fundraiser because we do still have a long way to go, and I feared in some way, shape, or form that we’ve crossed the line and pushed people away. I was digging into my quiet time and came across a passage of scripture that really spoke some truth and peace into my heart.

In Galatians 6 it says, “And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.”

It meant a lot to me, because it’s a reminder of the fact that God calls each of us to different tasks and responsibilities based on the talents and passions that He places in us. He calls us to rely on Him and to have faith that He will provide for each of the details that are necessary to accomplish those tasks, and He blesses those that choose to give and support His causes out of the willingness of their hearts. As God has called JCB to minister through the music He places in our hearts, He desires for us to provide opportunities for our brothers and sisters in Christ to be a part of what He’s doing.

My prayer is that I would stop being so prideful to say that I don’t need anyone’s help, and that we as a band would truly give God all of the glory that due His name and His name alone.May God Bless each of you overwhelmingly for your humble and giving spirit. I cannot thank you enough for your willingness to support this ministry!
