Antler Boy eBook + Stretch Goal
Yesterday Antler Boy crossed the $40,000 mark, the 1000 backer mark and is well over 650% funded!
Ok, so what does all this extra funding mean? Well for starters it means you all get a better book. The book will have a higher production value to it. Better paper, better binding, it’s going to look great.
It means I’ll be able to put more time into the design of the book. Time is money, right? Because of the extra money this campaign has generated it means I can say no to some freelance work that would eat into the time of the making of this book. I want to add some illustrations to the table of contents and introduction and give all the extra stuff that goes into making the book a little more love.
Because of the extra funding all the backers who pledged at the $25 level and up get a free eBook download of the Antler Boy. So now you'll be able to read the Antler Boy on your kindle fire, nook, iPad/iPhone, and Android phone/tablet before it's available to anyone else.
So how big can this go? That's what I've been asking myself all weekend. What is a stretch goal that's not too lofty, but not too easy? As I type this we're at $41K and things have slowed a bit now that were through the initial funding frenzy. I don't know how much slower they will get, but it looks like a nice round number to shoot for is $60K. That's about 500 more backers in the next 22 days.

If Antler Boy hits $60K I will add another story to the book. I've been wanting to do another Hugo Earhart story for a while now, and this will be just the excuse to do it. What this means is that if each of you can get someone; a friend, a parent, a coworker, your local comic shop, or even your library, to get a book then we'll achieve this goal no problem, and you'll get yourself a brand new story for the book.
