Oh, cool. Wait, haven't I seen this before?
Sort of! That last Kickstarter was just for the first issue. This one is so we can produce/print/ship the complete story*, a total of FIVE issues, in one book. Beginning, middle, end. People grow. People change. Friendship is forever.
* Plus about 10 pages of bonus content!
What's it about?
The basic plot is the series is this:
Samuel Dillon and Katie Baker are Agents of Paradox. They travel through time and space, closing wormholes to prevent spillover from different eras.
Dillon hopes to one day save the lives of his wife and son. Katie wants to save herself from being dumped by her boyfriend. Chagatai Khan, the cyborg son of Genghis Khan, plans to conquer all of human history simultaneously, proving that he is worthy of his father’s name. Dillon and Katie must both come to terms with what they have lost, and choose stopping Chagatai over changing the past. It’s a story about not dwelling on tragedies, big or small, and moving forward with your life, because going back is never as easy as it seems.

Alright. Well, what do I get if I pledge?
Great question! Basically, the book costs 25 bucks, just the first issue costs 5 bucks, and there's a bunch of bonus stuff (Dillon Sightings, Personalized Sketches, Posters, Cameos in the book by YOU) if you pledge a little extra.
What's a Dillon Sighting?
A 8x10 glossy print of a time Dillon (and/or Katie) was witnessed in the distant past, doing something in the background. You know, like the comic book version of Forrest Gump.

Anything else?
$9,000 goes towards paying the artists a reasonable rate, printing the books and rewards, and shipping everything. That's it. Nobody's getting rich off this. Or even profiting, at this stage. We just want the book to exist.

Risks and challenges Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
I think the greatest challenge is just MAKING the thing. This is an independent comic book, so we all have day jobs, and life will, to some extent, always get in the way. "December 2013" is sort of a worst-case-scenario, but it's not impossible. BUT, I will update often with our progress, so that you know your pledge was not in vain.
Oh, and on the last Kickstarter, since I had never done this before, I underestimated just how much printing and shipping would cost, and ended up paying some of the shipping out of pocket. That will not happen this time. My math is better.
