Update #5: Editor Karen Abad jons Fifty Lakes One Island

Posted on April 26

Meeting with editor Karen Abad for a weekend of intense editing. We are thinking about creating a two-part film for Fifty Lakes One Island. One is a meditative journey through pictures and music of the island's lakes, while the second part give takes a behind the scenes look at the making of Fifty Lakes. I am honored to have Karen involved with the project. Her short film, Little Boat, is a favorite of mine.

Update #4: Fifty Lakes One Island Update

Posted on April 16

Hello,

I apologize for the delay in delivering this update on the Fifty Lakes One Island project. I think I was suffering from a bit of an Isle Royale hangover. I had too much fun losing my mind during my forty-day adventure and suffered the consequences. I am just now finding my footing in civilization. It was worth it.

The project is moving ahead as planned with hopes in developing an interactive website in addition to the film and book. Eric Kessler of Kessler Crane is producing a Behind the Scenes, Fifty Lakes One Island, series with the help of editor Karen Abad.

During my forty days in the fall I had incredible weather, good luck, and the adventure of a lifetime. Check out the video for a sneak peak and I promise frequent updates in the upcoming months as progress is made.

  Thank you,

   George Desort
