Cregle (verb)
cre•gle \ˈkrā -gəl\
a: To write or draw in digital ink.
b: Processing external information through the left and right brain and then expressing the concepts in a creative digital form.
In education, writing is the vital link between reading and learning. Writing, and in particular handwriting, helps us remember, comprehend, and synthesize what we have learned. But when it comes to e-learning, handwriting has been all but non-existent because there hasn’t been a workable technology for handwriting on a computer or in any of the e-learning applications and digital contents that we have been provided. As a consequence, the spontaneity and intimacy of our learning experience have continued to be constrained by the keyboard of a laptop or the hunt-and-peck fingering of an iPad.
Cregle is changing all that. Our iPen and PenBook fills the handwriting gap by allowing students to use a digital pen to interact with their digital contents, the same way they’ve been working with pen and paper for their entire lives. We are here to create a unique platform for learning and sharing that combines the best of pen and paper, the Internet, and computers to provide a user experience that far exceeds the sum of its parts.
Martin: Palm-rejection in any inking app without or without iPen requires turning off multi-gestures. It's the same with Bamboo Paper and Penultimate that have integrated algorithms for palm rejection (as opposed to apps that simply throw up a "palm-guard" that can be simulated by putting a thick piece of paper between your iPad and palm).
Secretss: Thanks for the clarification I did not realise that... that is disappointing OVERALL then but clearly not specifically a FAIL on the part of Cregle. I would have thought that apps that do palm rejection would have been given access to disable multi-gestures from within their app...
I'm glad that when (if) my ipen does arrive that is one thing I can understand is not cregle's issue.
so fail, such a bad product no wonder apple was as resistant to approve it.
