About this project
Hello friends, filmmakers and potential supporters,
I am getting ready to direct my second short film IN THE FOREST ONE NIGHT in New York City in May and finally have everything in place where I feel its ready for production. Over the past three months of developing I have assembled a talent team who are as passionate about the project as I am. They are producers Andrea Roa and Tory Lenosky, acclaimed cinematographer Sean Kirby, production/costume designer Amanda Ford, casting directors Harley Kaplan and Brandon Powers and Executive Producers Jay Van Hoy and Lars Knudsen from Parts and Labor.
It is a real joy and pleasure to be working with such experienced and talented professionals in the New York independent film business. We have been working hard the last three months planning for the short, fine tuning the script, casting and now we are ready to put it into production. In order to accomplish this, we need your help and generosity.
All of your generous donations make it possible for my second short film IN THE FOREST ONE NIGHT to come to life. The minimum we would like to raise is $6,000 in order to get our film 'in the can' as they say. Donations cover production costs such as camera equipment, location rental, lights and grip equipment. But we are hoping to raise over $6,000 to help us to complete our post production.
Our collaborators and friends have offered some incredible gifts for our incentives. We hope there is something that will interest you. As you may or may not know with Kickstarter it's all or nothing. Every donation is important, even $1 helps push us toward our goal.
We will be updating you with our progress in pre production until we reach our goal of $6,000.00 by beginning of May 2011.

Sarah specializes in stories from the darker side of life, where hope shines a little brighter. She has been a documentary maker, playwright and published poet in Australia and the UK. As a creative director of a menswear luxury label, she created multi-media art for each collection, and has had her personal video art exhibited in London. Her first screenplay, DREAM LIFE, was produced by MTV Australia. In 2010, she wrote & directed the short, DEAD HANDS, starring Brady Corbet. Her first favorite film is POLTERGEIST.
