Comedian Insane Ian is releasing a CD/DVD collection & needs funding to help produce a bunch of music videos and sketches for the DVD!
See, while shooting the music video for 'DiG DuG" (above), he ran out of budget.
Plus, there's a bunch of other videos he'd like to include on the DVD. This is where you come in. With your donation you'll help fund the production of the various music videos and sketches, as well as receiving a copy of the collection once released. The CD portion (other than a few songs) is completely finished (as it is mostly a b-sides collection) and the few new songs for the disc are being release on The FuMP once a month (including guest artists such as the great Luke Ski, Devo Spice, and Schaffer The Darklord.) We just need help with the video portion.
With a budget, we can make the best videos possible, making them look, sound and feel less like a bunch of dudes with a free weekend and a cheap DV camera and more like professional comedy artists. Well, that's the hope, anyway. There's even the possibility of hiring animators for a few of the videos as well, which is something we'd DEFINITELY need a bigger budget for.
Here's a list of the proposed videos (not including what's already finished or still in production, such as DiG DuG above):
Seeing Red, Silent Bob, Hey There Hermione, Christina Ricci, Death Star, There's Something About A Zombie, Our Love Song, Marry'd Lyfe, MvL, CosPlaying FanGurls, We're All Gonna Die, and When The World Ends.
Along with these videos, there will also be sketches and an acoustic set by Insane Ian & The MusicIANs (recorded in Sept, 2010).
Every bit of money you donate goes towards funding the production of this CD/DVD collection. If we can exceed our goal by a few hundred dollars, we won't have to dip into our own pockets to get physical copies made or pay for digital stocking fees on CDBaby and iTunes; and if we can exceed our goal by a little more, we might even be able to hire a publicist, so the new collection will be able to reach listeners wholly unconnected to the small circle of blogs, sites, and social groups that are already familiar with II's music.
Please note that, because of how the Kickstarter program is set up, if we don't make our funding goal of $1,750, all money donated is refunded, we don't get any money at all, and no rewards will be distributed. So please, spread the word! (end text here lovingly plagiarized from Shael Riley's own Kickstarter page)
So far, the list is slightly different than what's posted on the project page. Here's a list of what will be on it so far:
Everything I Know
Our Love Song
We're all Gonna Die
When The World Ends
There may be more, as there are two pledgers who we have not finalized their choices with.
Right now, it hasn't been finalized, but it's looking to be a chunky 22 tracks. We'll have to see if there's space enough for it all, but so far, so good!

All of the above, plus you may choose one song that Insane Ian will make a music video for (assuming it's not already on the list). He'll work with you to come up with a video concept he likes, and of course (if possible), you would physically appear in the video. He'll also offset your name under its own subheading in the liner notes and give you Chief Executive Producer credit.
