CVZ opens up filmmaking to the masses- actors, musicians, & other talent can audition/submit music. Truly an Everyman film project!

About this project

"This short film is the inspiration for the movie we want to make. It just goes to show that undead doesn't have to mean uncool. Sure they're zombies, but just because their skin is cold doesn't mean they are. Most zombies die sad and in pain, ours will go with a smile on their faces if only you care enough to help."

-Frank McEnulty, IMAM Studios President

CHEERLEADERS, RUN-DOWN MOTEL, & FORGOTTEN GOVERNMENT EXPERIMENT-- WHAT COULD GO WRONG?

Cheerleaders Vs Zombies will be a totally kickass zombie movie – smart, scary, funny -- made on an ultra low budget (total budget $60,000).  This project will do for zombie flicks what Scream did for slasher movies. Picture quality will be comparable to our film “Rancho D’Amour” (see trailer at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zc3r5-254gI) which was shot for even less (but there were no exploding heads or walking dead make-up effects, so…).  Locations in Los Angeles and Arizona are already secured, and filming is scheduled to begin in August, 2011.  We’re making this film in connection with IMadeAMovie.com, a website that opens up filmmaking to the masses -- actors, musicians, and other talent can submit their auditions.  Truly an Everyman film project!

SYNPOSIS:

Our heroines Lorena, Roxy and Ginger set off for a cheerleader symposium in Phoenix, and find themselves lost on a remote stretch of a forgotten highway.  At a little old motel in the middle of nowhere, the girls find shelter, but after a government experiment goes horribly awry they wake up to also find zombies!  Lorena, the girls and an intrepid young man (aka the love interest) battle the creatures.  But the undead get the upper hand, and the fate of humanity lies in the balance.  As thrilled as she is to finally meet some men interested in her for her brains, Lorena has to come up with a plan to stop them -- if she’s going to save her friends, save the man she loves…and save the world.

BUDGET

We'll make this movie with a total budget of $60,000 and we've already raised half of that. We'll make this feature length film for less money than they spend on snacks on a studio film. Oh, we'll have snacks alright. But the producer's wife is baking them. That way we can spend your money on lights, cameras, and everything else you  need to make a movie!

THE DIRECTOR, BILL EVASHWICK

Bill Evashwick has over 25 years experience in the entertainment industry as a director, writer and producer.  His feature film credits include Rancho D’Amour, You Can’t Hurry Love, Limit Up, Playing Patti, The Hunting of the President and Cannes Man.

He has produced over 150 hours of television for networks such as ABC, NBC, FOX, Discovery, History Channel, A&E, Tru and others that have resulted in an Emmy Nomination, 11 Telly Awards, six CINE Golden Eagles, two Gold Medals from the New York Festivals and two Cable Ace Nominations for Best Comedy Special.

I MADE A MOVIE, INC.

We’ve set out to make films that help the unknowns of the film and music world by bringing them together with all the people on the planet who are fascinated by the movies.  We shot our first movie, Rancho D’Amour with unknown actors we found through the internet, a film crew that wanted to get out of the “Reality TV” grind and musicians we discovered on MySpace.  We kept the movie fans up to date with dailies, outtakes and reports from the set, and when it was all said and done, we made a pretty good, micro budget movie and proved to ourselves that it can be done.  Now we want to do it again and give another group of starving artists the opportunity to showcase their skills and hopefully give them a chance to move up in the world of film-making.
