WOW!!! We just got back from tour, checked our kickstarter site, and bam! our jaws have dropped! 

We can't believe that we reached our goal so quickly! Thank you from the bottom of our big hearts to everyone has put in their dollars. It is just so amazing. We now are going to be able to mix, master and press our record!! 

But there are still 25 days left! Here's the thing - if we can get this thing up to $7500, we can not only afford to get this record out to you, but maybe out to some other people as well. Having a PR campaign would be a HUGE deal!!!! We can hire a team to help get our name out to magazines, radio stations, websites, blogs, newspapers, you name it!  

We would be so grateful for your help to get to this level.

Hey There!

We are Lucius, a female duo currently residing in Brooklyn, NY. We sing songs together. in unison. and in harmony. We are eachother's vocal doppelgangers. We write songs that are fun, sometimes dark, exciting, unique and always honest. The result is a project that appeals to many different types of people, young and old. We think it's something you will love. If you want to find out for yourself, we will have sneak peeks available in the coming weeks! in the meantime, you can check out some of our videos and fan us!

Anyway, our goal, and the reason why we started this kickstarter page, is to release our sophomore album, WILDEWOMAN. This year has been incredibly fruitful, and we are so very grateful. The New York Times described us as having "Luscious, luminous, lilting lullabies" and described us as being "The next Feist". Seventeen Magazine said we are "alluring and magnetic" and Deli Magazine placed us among the best NYC artists of 2010. In addition, we came in 3rd place in the New York Songwriting Competition out of hundreds that submitted their tunes and won a $10,000+ Music Video opportunity through the Silver Sound Music Video & Film Festival. We were on MTV! we toured. we wrote. a lot. And now we have recorded this record and have gotten this far because of the many musical contributions from friends, other artists, producers and engineers alike.

Unfortunately, we are now at a standstill.

In order to move forward with this project, we really need your help. We are eager to bring you the highest quality record, and all that comes with it. What is "ALL", you ask? Our album is fully recorded now, and we are ready for it to be mixed and mastered. By meeting our goal of $4,710 you will be assisting in the creation of the following things:

▪                Mastering 

▪                Vinyl and CD duplication 

▪                Amazing artwork and graphic design 

▪                Incredible Merch that you can throw on your shoulder, hang on your wall, or put in your mouth (yes, we said it!) -- 

▪                an awesome website (yes, we are living in the dark ages, and dont even have our own website!) 

▪                touring opportunities. (without tour support, it is nearly impossible to get out on the road to see you all in your very own cities, without breaking the bank and being able to pay rent back at home) 

▪                more music videos!!

▪                Our happiness :)

If our goal isn't met, our project won't be funded and you won't be charged anything, which would be realllly sad.

After literally months of recording, making awesome sounds in our bathroom, living room, kitchen, subway, you name it! it is TIME to get this record out to you. We promise, this one offers something special. something different and new and exciting and hopeful.
