Update #37: 4 Days for FAILSAFE
Everyone,
Have you received your copies of The Dark Age #1 yet? If you enjoyed it, or maybe if you're looking for something a bit different, I'd like you to check out my next book too.
FAILSAFE is a single issue science fiction survival story, starring a lesbian space trucker, that re-tells a famous story from the Odyssey with my own unique perspective and gorgeous art by rising star Ryan Cody.
There's one more thing about FAILSAFE-- It only has four days left. We have hit our minimum goal, but the book will be delayed a bit while I raise more money out of my own mothy pockets-- unless we can raise about another $500 by this Friday night.
I know you love supporting indy comics, and I love you guys for that. I feel guilty asking you to do it again so soon, but this comic really does mean a lot to me. If you can, please at least check it out or help spread the word.

Update #36: Rewards Ready to Ship!
Everyone,
I am happy to say that the rewards are now packed and labeled, and ready to go out in the mail next week!
Specifically-- all copies of The Dark Age #1, The Deathlings #1, and Black Label Comics #1, plus t-shirts, postcards, and posters, are ready to go.
Original art, appearances in future comics, and comics that haven't been completed yet (Failsafe and Black Label Comics #2) will ship separately as they become ready. However, if your reward includes any of those things, you'll get everything else first.
All rewards are also coming with a special FAILSAFE postcard, which includes a personal reminder that the Kickstarter for our next comic ends soon, on September 3rd.
I hope you all enjoy your comics and other rewards, when they start arriving in the next couple of weeks!

Update #34: Our next comic: FAILSAFE!
Now that The Dark Age #1 is with the printers, and soon on its way to our backers, it's time to focus some on our next comic book.
I'm proud to officially announce that the next book from Black Label Comics is a science fiction survival one-shot, titled FAILSAFE, written by me with gorgeous art by Ryan Cody (Icarus, Popgun, and others).
In about an hour and a half, the Kickstarter for FAILSAFE will officially launch-- but you can see it now, a little early. We hope you'll enjoy our next story as much as you do The Dark Age.

Update #33: The Dark Age - Finished and off to the printers!
Here it is, the update I have been waiting to send you as impatiently as you have been waiting to receive it.
The Dark Age #1 is done.
The cover, the interior art, the lettering, even the inside covers. It's all there, it's all been processed for printing and quadruple-checked, and I'm proud of every panel of every page.
The first print run, including your copies, will arrive by the beginning of August. Once it does, I will begin sending out all of your well-earned rewards for supporting us.
In the meantime, please enjoy some more artwork from the book.
The first appears for as the inside cover of this issue. It's the cover for our upcoming anthology Black Label Comics #2, featuring Sandra and Nero from The Dark Age. (Gorgeous art by Jonathan Wyke.)
The second is the first time anyone outside of the creative team have seen a fully colored and lettered page from the "Observer" interludes that occur throughout the story. Do they hold the key to an impossible secret, or are they the fantasies of a deranged homeless man?

Writer and Creator Ian Struckhoff is already known (as "Ian X.") for his alternative fine art nude photography. A long-time fan of comics and graphic novels, he is now working on the first issues of two ongoing series, based on a series of stories that he has been working on for the last decade in a variety of media, as well as on the anthology Black Label Comics.
