Update #15: Prepress and shipping update

Posted on July 16, 2010

Hello everyone. Just wanted to give you an update on how everything is rolling with the poster.
I just heard word from the printer that we will have our proofs on Monday as well as paper samples. As soon as we take a look at them, we will share them with you! As I mentioned before, I'm scheduled to be on press next Friday.

A few of you have written to inquire about the shipping situation so I figured it would be best to update everyone at once. Kickstarter does not have a feature that I'm aware of that does this, so we will be setting something up next week so you can all enter the address you want the poster shipped to and so you can select shipping options. The shipping costs will depend on your location. We're shipping from Brooklyn and we will be shipping these in tubes around the world. So more instructions on that will be coming your way next week. If you happen to be close to Brooklyn and want to just drop by Hyperakt and pick yours up, that will be an option too. We'll set up a pick up day.

An update on the poster with all the World Cup results. Several of you have made suggestions and have strongly urged for it to get made which is awesome. I'm a little behind schedule on resolving it, but I will get to it and I will let you all know when I have something new to show. Someone suggested inverting the order so that the latest World Cups are on top and winners rise to the top. I thought that was great so I plan to implement that. I still need to figure out the color/white space issue, too. More on that after we get the radial poster wrapped up.

In other news, the poster has continued to receive lots of coverage on blogs around the world which has been really exciting to see. At last count, we are up to around 40 sites that have covered it. We were even on the front page of the Morgenpost newspaper in Berlin last Saturday! Never thought I'd get to say that. The Morgenpost featured the radial bracket front and center.

Have a good weekend everyone!
