About this project

HOMELAND is an independent feature length movie shot in and around  Dallas, San Antonio, and Austin, TX.

The Story

Daniel, a teenage boy living in a Mexican border town, is forced to smuggle drugs into the US in order to save his mother from the cartel that brutalizes them.

Simultaneously, a U.S. Presidential candidate proposes the legalization of marijuana in an effort to eliminate the illegal drug use that finances the cartel violence now spilling over to American soil.

Why Tell This Story?

We are team of filmmakers who are passionate about our craft and growing the independent film community.

For the past 2 years we have researched the Mexican/American drug war. Over 40,000 lives have been lost since it begun, and there appears to be no end in sight.

It is important for us to tell this story because often times we get bits and pieces of information about the illegal drug trade but rarely see the entire picture. Our goal is to enlighten and entertain our audience regarding the areas most impacted by the subject.
