Woohoo! I am so excited the album is en route! Excellence takes time, but I will say I've been looking forward to this for a long time-- the early releases were amazing temptations.

Figures - I give up and get snarky and on the same day you are getting it out - I am most anxious to hear the new album and almost as anxious to hear Advertising Space which I have never been able to score - The last email update I had was in August by the way - which was the last time before today this site was updated - a quick note every couple weeks would have been lovely and kept me from despair :-) Oh well - I am sure the artistic result will be more than adequate compensation.

Deborah, thank you - I have your address noted here in my exceptions spreadsheet (this is an unwieldy process but at least I am organized!). Your CD is on it's way to you. X! Holcombe

I'm so glad to read that you've reached your goals in more ways than one! Holcombe, I originally sent in $15, then another $5 (I emailed you to request it being added to my original contribution) so that I could be sent the CD. You were gracious enough to respond and acknowledge that request. I am just reminding you, as requested. I'm really excited to hear the new album!!

      Thank you,
      Deborah.

John, so sorry I did not post an update - I am actually neck deep in boxes and envelopes, things are shipping this weekend and Monday. Digital will follow. I sent an email out to everyone to update and reconfirm addresses (since it'd been so long). I'm sorry you missed that! Best to you, Holcombe

October 8 - and still no digital or physical products - I am rather disappointed and starting to get nervous - should I have done this - I am certainly going to be less likely to do it again - several months late and not even a regular communication about the status - dates set and then passed and what am I to think except my money is gone with nothing to show for it - and to think I felt like I was doing something positive for an artist I thought had more integrity.

Thanks for checking in Eric, I am a bit behind and I just posted an update - the digital deliveries will be soon (middle of this month) and physical deliveries soon thereafter! Thank you for your patience, Eric and everyone. See the updates tab for a sneak preview of one of the newer recordings. XO Holcombe

      Holcombe,

I love your music and unfortunately was unable to attend the concert that you did with Storm Large recently here in Portland, OR. I just pledged $35 -- where do I go to get the downloads?

As Holcombe’s boyfriend I’ve been a lucky observer to the spectrum of creative processes that go into shaping his music and making it available to listeners. He is constantly flooring me with his smarts and talents, and I’m so moved by the sensitivity he layers into his work every day. I think what stands out for me most—aside from that lovely nighttime silhouette mixing music in computer glow, Rarrr—is Holcombe’s attentiveness to friends and listeners, and his commitment to create a more intimate and symbiotic artist-patron model. It’s exciting to see such an enthusiastic response to this pledge. We’re already past the half-way point!?!
Thanks to all of ye fine folks for helping give legs to this magical and heartfelt album. Looking forward to seeing many of you at the March 5th show.

Let’s aid the dormant seeds of extinct trees sprout from their earthly asylums!

We look forward to finally have these radiant sonic offerings available. Really this record is nearly 6 years in gestation and will surely reflect such temporal tending. To quote myself- Holcombe is writing heartbreaking gorgeous lullabies to soothe the souls of newly pupated butterflies and inspire aeon dormant seeds of extinct trees to sprout from their earthly asylums...
      Lots of love!

Rad! We've been waiting for Holcombe to release all this music he's been performing from "Into the Dark Unknown: The Hope Chest" for years now and it's finally upon us. Holcombe's music really is poignant and beautiful. He's opened up my world with his lyrics and performances and exposed me to other amazing musicians like Loch Lomond, Chris Garneau, Buffy St. Marie and Gillian Welch. Plus he's cute...just don't tell him I said that.

This is AMAZING. What a great way for insanely talented artists like Holcombe to give their full attention to their stunning creations, of which we are all so lucky to enjoy. This is the way of the future and and easy way to help support artists in a country that does not value you them enough. I am so excited for the new record!!

"Waller's evocative voice will always foreground his creative output, but he has the vision of an artist, rather than a vocalist. As such, he uses that beauty as a tool to establish an emotional foothold with the audience, so that he can then unpack his finely crafted and haunting sensibility."
- The Portland Mercury

Holcombe Waller is an indie singer-songwriter and performing artist with three critically acclaimed albums, all released on his own label. He's currently working on producing a fan-funded fourth record, which is largely comprised of songs from his theatrical folk show, "Into the Dark Unknown: The Hope Chest." He tours nationally with his band, The Healers.

Holcombe is known for classic 60s/70s-inspired folk songwriting, singular heartfelt vocals and unique interdisciplinary & collaborative performance projects. He has worked with the Joe Goode Performance Group of San Francisco ("Small Experiments in Song and Dance," 2008 and "Dead Boys," 2009) and with Zoe | Juniper ("Old Girl," 2008 and ongoing work). Ann Powers lauded his album "Extravagant Gesture" as a "small pop epic," and Spin Magazine called it "the missing link between Jeff Buckley and George Michael," though we're not really sure why. Listen to his music: you be the judge!
