100 Days 100 Paintings 100 Thoughts is a multimedia, painting, writing and film project created by Los Angeles artist David Hinnebusch who will be making 100 acrylic and or mixed media paintings on 24x 24 inch professional 1-1/2" gallery wrap canvases. A book and DVD documenting the project will also be produced and made available either as a prize or for sale. The finished paintings will be listed for $425 each unframed on his davidhinnebuschartworks page on facebook.
- 100 Days 100 Paintings 100 Thoughts starts on the day I list the project for funding. I will start painting 2- 5 hours a day weekdays on the first group of 25 24x24" canvases. Each week I will add 25 more pieces to the unfinished works documenting the painting time as I go with a combination of time lapse photography and real time video. By the time the project is funded I will have had a 30 day head start with at least 5 pieces finished. Each day leading up to the dead- line I will upload the video to Kickstarter, YouTube and Face Book fb.com/davidhinnebuschartworks. On the first day the project starts, at noon Pacific Standard Time, I will upload the image of the painting along with a thought, poem, story or narration. I will write everyday on the day of the upload. The FIRST PERSON to write "SOLD" in the comments bar in the special 100 Days 100 Paintings 100 Thoughts album on fb.com/davidhinnebuschartworks gets to buy the original for $425 or free for anyone who who has one coming as a prize. The ONLY exception is a painting that was commissioned as the result of a projectprize where the prize also includes the commission; you will read that right away when the painting loads that it is sold. The prizes that include a medium or large sized original painting can be seen on my website at www.fakeart.net or fb.com/davidhinnebuschartworks I will also be publishing a book documenting the project. - All the money for the project will go for the canvases, the Golden brand
Acrylic paint, the cost of the blurb.com books, the DVDs and the cost of

- I will have help and emotional support from my wonderful fiance Melanie, my cool son and all of my friends, collectors and family.
- I will only make money from the sale of un- prized works in this project, and since I make almost 1/2 my income from art sales, I feel this is a fair way to be compensated for my work.

When I (in fact the first 10 minutes) I was about to show my work to the world on Venice Beach, I have my head under the table setting up my paints (not to perform, but to kill some time) and I hear "How you doin with your fake art?" in a rather gruf voice and I look up over the table and I see this older woman walking down the boardwalk screaming at the ocean. Now I'd seen her around Venice before and I knew she wasn't well and I though, "Boy, you are going to have to toughen up otherwise the nuts down hear are going to run you off.." I mean it was the guy next to me selling the painted in China Monet's. So I made a sign that said "Fake Art" and the name stuck and became my website www.fakeart.net net net. It wasn't long after that some old surfer dude walking by said "Dude it's faux fake art..hehe" Real faux fake art for the real faux fake people I live with in L.A., mostly not for L.A. more L.A. than L.A. will ever be for that matter..
