Guiding Star Productions is raising funds for their next feature film entitled "MY BRISTER," a film that aims to support the acceptance of LGBT individuals; while still entertaining its audience with intriguing characters and a dynamic story. Though we are asking for $10,000, the entire film will cost closer to $50,000....most of which will come out of our pockets, So if you have a spare dollar lyin’ around (or a thousand of ‘em) don’t be afraid to invest because believe me when I say every cent counts!
WHAT THE MONEY IS FOR:
All of your generous donations will be going towards publicity and distribution fees; because I believe this is an important story to tell, especially now during the LGBT Civil Rights Movement, and what good is making a movie if no one is able to see it. So if you have a spare dollar lyin’ around or a thousand of ‘em, don’t be afraid to invest.
As you've already probably noticed from all the production stills, we've already completed a short excerpt from the script! This was basically meant to test out some casting and acting styles and to see how the audience reacted. My name is Hilarion Banks. I'm a film director living bi-coastally as of now in both L.A and NYC. I've written, directed, and shot several shorts and features and I work professionally as a Director of Photography for film and Light Designer for theatre. I'm originally from Texas and usually work with a lot of long term friends and family members from home that also work in the industry.
