About this project
Nerdapalooza is a large scale nerd music event that has been growing very quickly since its inception in 2007. Since then, it's made appearances in Blender Magazine, the Washington Post, Wired Magazine, and recently was nominated as the Geek Event of 2009 by the Geek Dad Blog's first annual award. Interest has quickly grown making this small event explode in popularity. In order to ensure that the event can stand on its own feet, we need your help, for Nerdapalooza 2010 is planning to be bigger than ever before.
Standing at a crossroads, Nerdapalooza has the chance to get much, much larger. With plans of a larger primary event and possibly creating a national tour, there is much room to grow.
Basically, by donating, we're building capital to allow Nerdapalooza the essential things like locking in the venue, sound equipment logistics, and travel money for headliners. While we're getting a large portion of this money from sponsors as well, this is going to help make sure that Nerdapalooza 2011 will be able to lock in a venue more quickly.
Nerdapalooza is a charity event, and last year we donated over $5,000 to Child's Play, a charity benefiting children hospitals around the world. We look forward to beating that donation this year with your help.
Now, what's in it for you, besides that warm fuzzy feeling of helping out Nerdapalooza, can be seen to the right, a list of goodies you'll get in return. But the light at the end of the tunnel is the Nerdapalooza Final Boss Club, an exclusive club which is basically a lifetime VIP pass to any and all Nerdapalooza events in the future. Limited to 50 passes, these passes will ONLY be available this year. After June 1st, we are retiring entry to the Final Boss Club, that means after June 1, 2010, the only members will be those that donated the $350 to get in. Final Boss Donor || You have transcended the other donors into a VERY exclusive club! There are only 50 seats in this club. It is the Nerdapalooza Final Boss Club. For donating enough to make it to this level, you are enrolled in the Final Boss Club, which entitles you a lifetime pass to every future Nerdapalooza event with VIP access (where that applies). Every Nerdapalooza Presents show, festival, and if we one day tour, all of that is unlocked! You will also receive digital copies of every Nerdapalooza release here on out.
