We are now making our final push for toward our goal with only 5 days to go!

The Jon Collins Band

We are pleased to announce a formal partnership with the VFW and the VFW Foundation.

The Jon Collins Band will be donating a percentage of our sales to the VFW Foundation as well as organizing shows to raise awareness and funds for the VFW over the next two years. We are very excited about that.

In return, the VFW is encouraging their members and supporters to help support this video project. We have just over TWO WEEKS to make this happen.

In just the first 2 hours since the VFW has posted the Hero Video on Facebook, this project already has almost 500 additional Facebook "Likes" and several new pledges.  That means over 800 people like yourself are now receiving updates on the progress of this project.

We encourage you, if you like what we are doing, to please make a pledge as soon as possible to encourage others to do the same. With such a limited time, it is going to take a group effort. Thanks again for your help!

P.S. One additional note. A few veterans have made the point that in our video we mention wounded "soldiers" which does not technically include Marines. We would like to apologize for that oversight, as we should have used the term "War Fighters".  It is our intention to raise awareness about both soldiers and marines and their service.

This week, we had a chance to speak with Luana Schneider a remarkable woman who has started an organization called Tempered Steel.

Luana started Tempered Steel after her son Scott suffered severe injuries from an IED. 

From their website Tempered Steel is "dedicated to promoting national awareness, education and support for our severely injured military members. Tempered Steel focuses on providing support to those suffering the most debilitating traumas from Iraq and Afghanistan by encouraging peer to peer support, educating the public and providing direction and assistance to additional programs and services that will meet their needs."

We are happy to have the support of Tempered Steel for the Hero video project.
