Update #5: Video #05 - Can't Buy Me Love
“Can’t Buy Me Love” is the fifth video for the “It might become a movie” campaign, which consists of a group of film students resorting to all kinds of things in order to get funds for the production of a short film entitled “Maybe, Rockstar”.
The screenwriter and co-director Fabrício Mendieta full-heartedly sang and played famous songs like “Anyone Else But You”, “She Loves You”, “Umbrella”, “Twist and Shout”, among others. He sat down on a busy avenue, next to the Gazeta building trying to earn some money for the production of the short film “Maybe, Rockstar”. To the tune of The Beatles’ “Can’t Buy Me Love”, we can notice his determination and effort to get any financial feedback.
Update #4: Video #04 - Paulista Avenue
“Paulista Avenue” is the fourth video for the “It might become a movie” campaign, which consists of a group of film students resorting to all kinds of things in order to get funds for the production of a short film entitled “Maybe, Rockstar”.
In an ordinary afternoon in the city of Sao Paulo, our first assistant director, Renan Lima, and our second assistant director, Natália Vestri, wandered on the busiest avenue of the city, the Paulista Avenue, carrying with them a huge sign that said on one side (translated): “Want to help national cinema?”, and on the other: “visit our website, www.talvezrockstar.com”, as an attempt to draw people’s attention towards our making of this film.
Update #3: Video #03 - At The Traffic Light
“At The Traffic Light” is the third video for the “It might become a movie” campaign, which consists of a group of film students resorting to all kinds of things in order to get funds for the production of a short film entitled “Maybe, Rockstar”.
One of our producers, Maíra Testa, in order to honestly earn some money for our film, put together some candies into little bags along with a piece of paper with the name of our website on it. She, then, stayed at a busy road intersection and tried to get some funds for the film.
Update #2: Video #02 - Subway
"Subway" is the second video for the "It might become a movie" campaign, which consists of a group of film students resorting to all kinds of things in order to get funds for the production of a short film entitled Maybe, Rockstar.
In the beginning of pre-production, our executive producer, Heloisa Kato, decided, humbly enough, to go ask for any sort of contribution on the subway of São Paulo. The outcome wasn't very satisfactory, despite the energized speech by a very dedicated executive producer.
