About this project

If we've talked to you about this new self-titled album, chances are we probably couldn't make it all the way through the conversation without a tear in our eye (ok fine, we're kinda wussy). We've made music for a lot of reasons throughout the years: 1) while we were more naive, we made music thinking it would help get girls (if you're not good at getting girls in real life, when you put down the guitar, you're just as bad) 2) while we were more idealistic, we thought it would bring fame (does that actually happen anymore?). But finally we came to this new-found third reason that we only realized in the process of writing and recording this album: to make something that you're proud of.

These twelve songs that make up our new album are something that we're unabashedly proud of. It came about organically and almost all the songs were written during the 9 day recording session. The minute we finished that 9th day, we looked at each other and decided that we were going to give this album away for free, because the truth is, all we really wanted was for people to hear it.

But we're traditional in our recording approach and want people to hear it how it's meant to be heard, and that includes getting it mastered (for those that don't know, that's traditionally the final step in recording music which makes the music sound... sparkly) and eventually pressed onto vinyl. So we hope you can help support our effort to take this final step in making this album come to life.
