Update #6: Last Chance for Round Two!

Posted on August 6, 2010

Hi all!

Sorry for the gratuitous update, but I just wanted to let you know that if you were planning on snagging a copy of our next round of tapes, there are just over 12 hours left to do it!

http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/hecanjog/wolf-interval-double-cassette-tom-hamill-sleeps-in

We're super excited about these two - and Made Of Oak and Sleeps In Oysters have just agreed to expand the single into an EP with bonus tracks from each.

You can listen to excerpts on the Wolf Interval page: http://wolf.luvsound.org (Minus the bonus tracks for the moment)

Thanks again!

Best,
Erik

Update #5: Round Two!

Posted on July 9, 2010

Hi everyone,

Thanks again for your amazing support on our first effort - I'm really proud of how the tapes turned out, and it wouldn't have happened without your help!

We're following quick on the heels of our first tape with an exciting pair of cassettes featuring three artists: Tom Hamill (blissed out solo surf guitar), Sleeps In Oysters (twigs and bark electronica), and Made Of Oak (club music for backyards and attics)

We'd love your support this time around - thanks again!

ps - I'm still waiting on a couple of you to send me an address to mail your tape, they're waiting here in the Wolf Interval clubhouse for you!

Update #4: At long last!

Posted on April 30, 2010

Hi everyone!

At long last, Wolf001 tapes will start to be mailed out next week and I want to thank you for your patience! I think the wait will be worth it - I'm really happy with the way these have turned out, and the extra time needed to dub tapes in realtime from a digital master means they are sounding great too!

I still don't have many of your addresses and color preferences. Please hit erik@luvsound.org or send a message through kickstarter to let me know where to send your tape - and if you would prefer yellow or purple.

Thanks again for the support! I'm pumped to be wrapping this project up and getting this tape out into the wild - we'll be following it pretty quickly with Wolf002 and Wolf003 in June, but more on that later!

Best,
Erik Schoster

Update #3: Blank tapes are here!

Posted on March 1, 2010

Hi everyone -

The tapes for this project just arrived today! I'll be getting the digital downloads online for you as well as getting a start on assembling the packaging and recording the tapes this week.

As you can see from the photo, of the 100 tapes: 25 are yellow, and 75 are purple. There are enough yellow tapes for everyone if that's your preference, so please let me know which you'd prefer as well as the email address you would like me to send your download code to if it is different from the email address you used for your kickstarter pledge.

Thanks so much!

Update #2: Wolf001 on the way!

Posted on February 14, 2010

Hi Everyone -

Thanks once again for your generous support - but I'm sure you'd rather hear about the music then my sycophantic gushing, so I'll leave it there for now and illustrate my thanks with a little action:

Amazon holds funds for 14 days, and then the transfer process takes about 7 days to complete. As soon as this is complete, I'll be sending the masters off to be duplicated, and the artwork off to be printed. That means I'll probably be able to start mailing copies out to you all sometime around the middle of March, roughly a month from now. I'll be documenting the process here as it unfolds!

In the meantime I'll be finishing up a little web application which will let you plug in the email address you used to make your kickstarter donation and get access to high quality downloads of the release in the format of your choice. I'd like to take a little poll. We're going to support 320kbps mp3s and FLAC, but I'll only offer OGG, ALAC, and WAV if there is demand for it - so let me know!

We should be able to go live with the web application by the end of the month - and there will be a few extra digital goodies waiting there as well.

In the meantime, hop on over to luvsound and grab a track from ibreatheFUR's side of the tape if you haven't already, and I'll be in touch as we get things rolling!
