About this project
Since the release of our debut 'I Am The Galaxy EP' (of which we received immensely encouraging feedback) we have progressed as a band on both a musical and psychological level. As a result of such, we have written some new songs that journey both deep into the marrow of the human experience, as well as into subtle hymns of a fleeting heart. After searching extensively, we synchronistically arrived at the opportunity to record in with producer Bill Moriarty (Dr.Dog, Lotus, Man Man); his vision not merely aligned with our own, yet serves as a catalyst - working with him will help us to encapsulate and share a feeling that is otherwise ineffable to the best of our extent. Ultimately, this project is going to cost more than $1000, but we feel that it's necessary for us to fund this as well with our own money. When we are not playing in Hearing Colors, we are studying in college or working extensively just to get by. By donating and helping us raise $1,000 you will help us to be able to pursue our passion and provide you with our greatest, most honest work yet. We are confident that this EP has the potential to be a milestone in our history as a band and will push us forward to our next step. We are sincerely grateful for every single donation and are appreciative to even have the opportunity to utilize Kickstarter.

Hearing Colors is a mix of four different personalities featuring four different musical tastes coming together to make something that they all can see as something beautiful while conveying a positive message of love, compassion, nurturing and understanding for all living things. The band started jamming and eventually formed around their song "I Am The Galaxy" in the early summer of 2011.
