First off, we’re overwhelmed with how patient you’ve been with us. It’s been great to be working with such fantastic people who have been so supportive of the Trigger Happy dream, which is very soon to become a Trigger Happy reality. That being said, we have some bad news, some great news and some …”meh” news:
To make a long story short, we had more issues with our manufacturer that have put us far (and we mean like in a galaxy far, far away) from our original deadlines, for which we are extremely sorry and embarrassed about.
However, we have some great news! We received some of the Trigger Happy Remotes and we’re shipping them out this week! Before you start bounding around the house with uncontrolled outbursts of excitement, we haven’t gotten our hands on all the units yet, so we can only ship them out as fast as we get them.
We’re working night and day to make sure you get all the sweet, awesomeness that is the Trigger Happy Remote, so hang in there! Trigger Happy is coming to a mailbox near you! …unless you don’t have a mailbox, then it’ll just come to your door, probably …or where ever you get your mail.

Just echoing previous comments about the web-retail price being lower than what I contributed as a kickstarter (even including tax and shipping). Not overly happy at that, but it's not a deal breaker.
The perpetually delayed ship dates and "manufacturing issues" on the other hand, leave me wondering about the overall quality of the product once it does ship. Not sure that I'll be really comfortable adding this to my gear bag for quite some time until it proves itself.

Thanks for the update Kevin, I'm excited to get this product in my hands.
So far I've backed about 10 kickstarter projects. I don't think one of them has been on time. The fact that the backers don't understand the system here is continually frustrating. This is not a finished product. It's a brand new idea. Set backs ALWAYS happen. That being said, I think it's good for the owners to read the complaints to get a better idea of how to handle these situations in the future. Take the info and learn from it.

My advice to you guys is that you are too slow in giving status. Last status update you implied you'd be shipping on 7/18... and then you wait until today 7/24 to revise the ship dates. It's not a big deal that you have to slip you schedule but it is a big deal you go a week with out updating the status. Give specific dates and give updated status with specific dates... better to give a date farther out and deliver early than to keep underestimating the date.

Hello,
I, too, am a bit astounded that you are offering the TriggerHappy Remote on your website for the same price (or even a bit less) a kickstarter had to pay. What's even worse is that international shipping from your website is lower than for me as a kickstarter. What do we get in return for giving you an interest-free credit and the trust to create a product? So far, nothing.
I just hope that the app (iOS for me) quickly gains some of the promised features, like lightning triggers.
Please, at least, give a statement about this!

Why are you not addressing the issue about the selling price on your website being less than what you promised us backers ? You told us TriggerHappy will retail for $69.99, so save quite a bit! Add $5 for US shipping..... and yet, on your site, it's $49.95. Thousands of us backed you. Paid you in advance. Your are fully funded 9 times over and above the desired amount.....why are you letting everyone get this for $49.95 ? Why are you not addressing this ?

Can this update be clarified a tiny bit? Maybe my reading comprehension skills lack a bit, but is this saying that the manufacturing delays are still an issue, or that they have been remedied and now it is just an issue of receiving and shipping the remotes?

Thanks for the update! What kind of issues did you run into? Was it primarily molding of the housing? What percentage of the nearly 4000 cables are you sending out in this first batch? Do you have an updated ETA on the remaining units? When do you expect to have the Android App available?
