Hi Christine,
I understand the many delays the Hand stylus has had- I just want to be sure that I'm still on your list, as I have as yet never received a stylus. Can you check my status by email address? And can you send me an Email to let me k ow that I'm still on the list to ship when there are more supplies in?
Here is my email address:
NEVEMBER@gmail.com
Thank you for your dedication.
Sincerely,
Jeff McNabb

Loved my stylus. Repaired my stylus. Gave up on my stylus. Threw my stylus pieces in a drawer.
Creator Jerry on May 4
Like what Irene says, I just got an iPad mini a month ago and attempted to try without the protector as I had an iPAD before with a protector and it didn't work. As I believe its too soft the tips, tried another cheap stylus and it works fine. When I put the Invisible shield on the iPAD mini it still didn't work (can't draw worth nothing) but the cheap stylus I got for 10 bucks works ok (but not extremely fine)?
If you make new tips let me know as I would like to try again as this Hand Stylus is very comfortable. It makes nice lines while I draw but tips are too soft that I would get lines that are dotted.
Creator Irene Lezak on May 2
Hi Steve,
I made my pledge to Hand Stylus on 05/24/2012. I received my stylus in a timely manner. Between pledging and funding there were comments and replies that said that the stylus might not work with screen protectors. Since I had protectors on my 2 iPod Touchs, I was not surprised that the stylus was not successful.
I now have an iPad & a Mini without protectors. The stylus still does not work. The tips are too soft. When I pledeged I included the addional monies for the tin of six replacement tips. I have tried each of these without success. I have a Bamboo stylus that works on my iPads & Touches. However the Hand Stylus is a better design.
If the tips have been improved, I would like to get replacements and try the stylus again. Your reply would be appreciated.
Thanks, Irene

I have really tried to like the Hand Stylus..... I really have. Everything about it is good (once I superglued it back together) except the tip. It just doesn't work well. Too soft and requires too much pressure. So I kept looking, and found the perfect stylus.... it's the Brookstone "Executive Tablet Pen" available at Staples. It has a large fixed tip and a small tip (same size as the Hand) that retracts with a twist of the barrel. Comes with a spare of each size, all for $20. It is also made in China but has a remarkably refined design, with a matte black and chrome finish. It looks more like a fine writing instrument than a stylus. If you just haven't been able to get past the "functionality" of the Hand stylus, give the Brookstone a try. Steve, you might want to check this out. Develop a tip that works this well, and I'll be a happy Hand customer. (I am an engineer, so your design aesthetics are more appealing to me)

Hello Augusto,
So sorry you haven't received your stylus + yet. Please send us your new address and we will send it priority mail. Please write to info@handstylus.com and we will send the next business day.

Hi. I still haven't received my stylus, and there is a little complication: I changed my address. How can we work this out?
Thanks in advance.
Creator Scott on April 9
Received the replacement and it works like a charm!! Thanks so much!!
Creator Steve King on March 27
Hi Scott, The tip failing might be the shaft that holds the on the tip. I will send a replacement.
Sometimes the air holes gets blocked and the tip becomes flat. There is an air hole on the bottom of the gold plated shaft and one on the side. If you unscrew that bottom element that is sort of pie shaped you can
see what I am talking about better. I am so sorry I missed your earlier e-mail. Christine for Hand
Creator Scott on March 27
Steve,
Love the product, love the idea...mine just doesn't work well AT ALL. :( The tip caves in on use which leads to no writing. I have tried the set if tips that I bought with it and same result. I requested a fresh set as I saw that this was an issue for some of the backers but no one has ever written me back or attempted to provide relief. Help please!
Creator Xardion on March 26
Steve, has anyone told you that you and anyone working with you on this are awesome? Because you are.

HEllo Bryan, We have your address in Windsor. We shipped on 3-21-13, it takes a while to reach you.
International shipments take 1-3 weeks. Sorry you have to wait for the mail.

Hello Steve, do you need my address to send the new stylus to me?
Creator Xardion on March 20
Aside from the detached collar (for the most part it holds itself together) it's actually been a really good stylus.
Creator Galen Rosenberg on March 20
Wow, surprised to see people still posting here!
Anyway, a positive report - after 5 months my HAND stylus has held up! I did have to resort to a dab of super glue gel after the third time I sent it through the dryer (I REALLY need to start cleaning out my pockets) but I can't fault the manufacturer for that & the mechanism itself and all of the innards survived just fine. Still using it all the time, still on the original tip. I've found two places it is extremely useful - signing things in Adobe or Autograph and working with Photoshop Touch.
Cool to see that the production has evolved to eliminate that. Steve, I'm still digging your product!
Creator Bryan Skene on March 19
Thanks it's much appreciated. I found while drawing with it, it was fantastic. As an artist I could really appreciate the precision of my lines with the smaller tip.
Creator Steve King on March 19
Bryan, we now thread and glue the collar to the barrel to eliminate the problem you experienced. Fortunately, this is only happening to a very small percentage of Hand Styluses, and with our new production procedures we've pretty much eliminated this issue. We'll be sending you a replacement stylus free of charge... sorry for the inconvenience. Regards, Steve King
Creator Bryan Skene on March 19
Mine no longer closes. It pops open and smacks against my screen...... Threads would be a big help in a stylus that screws together.
Creator Joe Robertson on March 15
Sad to say this stylus is the worst I have used and is completely useless. I wonder what % of Kickstarter products are of any quality? For me less than 50%.

Another stylus is on the way to you. Please give it a try.

Creator Jim Longley on March 8
Got the new ones, they seem a little sturdier, but time will tell. Of course they are the wrong color, but apparently HAND doesn't have any record of who got what, or of email addresses, or much of anything.
Do you want the old ones back?
Creator Bill Kim on March 3
Got mine now, thanks! It's taking a bit to get used to the feel but I like it so far.
Creator Jim Longley on February 23
Per your previous instruction, sent the email below to you on February 13th, did you not receive it?
My styluses are orange and engraved with my name, Jim Longley.
I cannot provide a picture as I have glued them both back together using JB Weld.
Although the Kickstarter project has ended, people are still making comments there, it would only take a little time to check in once in a while, especially with people posting negative comments where the public can see them, and it should be pointed out that I have sent emails to your "Contact Me" link and this addy, with no answers from either.

Creator Incredible Ink on February 21
Like Dave Astolfo's stylus, mine came apart after the second day of light use. I didn't drop it, put anything on top of it or do anything else that would cause any dame. It just fell apart while I was using it.
Creator Steve King on February 7
Dear Frank, Did you say you returned the stylus? We have gone thru all returns. Maybe we are just
crossing paths. If any problems, please write me at info@handstylus.com and we will take care of
any problems. Thank you, Christine
Creator Steve King on February 7
Hello Adrian and Jim Longley,, please write me at info@handstylus.com with your current address and color stylus to
replace. It is not suppose to do that. Please send a snapshot so I can share that with the factory.
I don't look here often, because we shipped all Kickstarter pledges months ago. I answer emails at the
info and steve @handstylus. Sorry to delay your answers. Christine
Creator Adrian Morgan on February 6
Hi Steve, I have used the hand stylus for a short time, but now the tip won't come out of the pun. if i push the top button it seems to just nudge out like a scared turtle. What should i do?
Creator Jim Longley on February 5
Both of my styli have come apart now, the second one while I was actually pointing it at the screen. I think the only reason my screen wasn't damaged was the screen protector in place. I know I could glue it, but I shouldn't have to this early in its life, is there a quality control problem? One of mine is unusable because it will not stay together and the other pops apart at random times.
Creator Frank M. Hoyer on February 4
Hi, my handstylus return to you because I was in Holiday.
Can you help me?
Creator Dave Astolfo on February 1
Sent a message at handstylus.com over a week ago. No response, so I've resent, and will try here. I've had my stylus for a while now and over the holiday break, the aluminum knurled end became separated from the main body (where they are glued together). Still waiting for a response.
Creator Bill Kim on January 26
Still have not received mine, still have not received any correspondence concerning my lack of stylus. Wish there was something I could do to get my money back but I figure I'm just screwed. Thanks for taking my money dude.
Creator Ralph Kohler on January 23
Steve,
I've attempted to contact you several times using the contact at right (where you told me to send to the HANDStylus email) and directly. As I said for a couple of months now, I've not received my order. Please respond and either send me my order or refund my money.
Creator Markus Reimer on January 7
Hi Steve/Christine,
Yes, I recieved your refund yesterday, so I will now concider our business as done.
I'm however somewhat surprised that you thank people calling your customers rediculous.
Scott:
I have no problem with loosing the $40 that I have pledged, also, I have no problems with delays.
I have backed 25 projects today and just one of them have been delivered on time. Also, I have no problem with a project failing and "loosing" my money. I never pledge more than I'm willing to gamle on a project.
The reason I complained about this is the fact that I have tried to contact Steve/Handstylus for a few months and inquiring about my delivery, since most other backers recieved them.
All my messages was ignored and my first message in November at this board was *removed*.
And I wasn't alone. As you can see, several other backers have asked about their shipments and not recieved any response. At the same time Steve/Christine/Handstylus have responded to support-issues, updates about new versions and so on.
That type of behaviour isn't something that I accept and thus resulted in me wanting a refund, as according to the Kickstarter terms of service.
Since Steve/Christine/Handstylus didn't respond to my (or others) request for a refund I was forced to investigate how to get it through the payment providers. Amazon only issues refunds for 105 days after the payment, ie September 30. The next option is to use the protection Visa gives me, and that is issued through my local bank, and to send a complaint to them they demands a copy of the police-report of the fraud-charge I would have sent in today if my mone wasn't refunded with a few hours to spare.
(Btw federal cases are only relevant in the US and a police-report for a fraud-charge of $40 is hardly a federal case within the US as I understand your laws)
Creator Steve King on January 6
Dear Markus, I have sent a refund, Henrique contacted you via email to get your current address, I think you moving got us mixed up, thanks Arnold, and Scott
Sorry I don't look here often enough.
We did get a great review in the Wall Street Journal a little after Christmas.
We are headed to the show CES tomorrow, an electronics trade show, we will be debuting the HAND
Thank you for all your pledges. Christine, Partner, HAND
Creator Arnold A Sitorus on January 4
I just received the replacement stylus tips an hour ago.
The strange part is that when I check the date stamp on the envelope, it was sent on October 2nd!
I don't know why it took more than two months to deliver it as the HandStylus itself was only took a couple of weeks to reach me.
Creator Henrique on January 4
I am from Brazil and I bought 6 hand stylus through kickstarter. I still haven´t received the stylus yet.
As Markus Reimer, I've already send 6 e-mails to either steve@handstylus.com or info@handstylus.com with no answers! This is what makes me really upset!
I don't want refund, instead I want my styluses because I really believed on this project, please be more gentle and responsive to the one who believed on your project.
Best regards.
Creator AccordingToMe on January 3
It amazes me how ridiculous people act over a $30 stylus. The man said he would give you a refund yet the beating of a dead horse continues. Clearly you didn't receive one for whatever reason. 99.9% of the backers did which is a pretty good indication that there is no malice in yours not having been received. If nobody received them then yes, there is definitely a problem which is most likely fraudulent in nature. Obviously there has been an oversight but this isn't Steve's full time job...I'm actually surprised that trying to juggle everything that there have been as few problems as there have been. In any event, he said you'll get a refund....he could have just ignored you so for gods sake give the man some time to have his accountant take care of it (a lot of self employed people outsource their accounts payable).
In the grander scheme of life it's a stylus.....it isn't a three thousand dollar 3d printer. The world isn't going to end and your life will go on with or without the stylus. It isn't a federal case so give it a rest.
Creator Sam Salek on January 3
Hand reviewed!
http://www.samsalek.net/hand-styls-a-quick-review/
Creator Markus Reimer on January 3
No, that was not the reason, that was just a typo when I wrote the message here.
And btw, the last e-mail to info@handstyLus.com :) have not been answerd yet and no refund have been issued.
Creator Arnold A Sitorus on January 2
I just notice the email address that @Markus Reimer mailed to is steve@handstyus.com instead of: steve@handstylus.com (missing "l" on the stylus).
It might be one of the reason for the lack of respond.
I have no intention to intervene here, just trying to give a little help.
Creator Markus Reimer on January 2
Steve/Christine:
First of all, as MarcVDH said, read the terms for the service you use. You *are* obligated to fullfill or refund us!
Secondly:
"No need to threaten fraud, we want to refund, we only want happy customers."
I beg to differ.
I and many others have tried to contact you by the message-system on Kickstarter, to steve@handstyus.com as previously recommended by someone using your account & signature and also posted messages in this message-board.
Other messages related to product support have been answered but our messages have been ignored (and in some cases removed) untill I informed you about my intent.
(And that wasn't/isn't a threat, it is a declaration of intent. If my last mail to info@handstyus.com don't result in a refund before Jan-7 this is what I will do.)
Creator Shawn Leonard on December 31
I never received my replacement tips with my stylus. Who do I contact regarding this?
Creator MarcVDH on December 30
Another precision, in your answer to Markus Reimer, you said the pledge was a donation but the pledge is NOT a donation !!
In the Kickstarter faq :
Is a creator legally obligated to fulfill the promises of their project?
Yes. Kickstarter's Terms of Use require creators to fulfill all rewards of their project or refund any backer whose reward they do not or cannot fulfill. (This is what creators see before they launch.) We crafted these terms to create a legal requirement for creators to follow through on their projects, and to give backers a recourse if they don't. We hope that backers will consider using this provision only in cases where they feel that a creator has not made a good faith effort to complete the project and fulfill.
