Update #3 Less than 10 hours to go!!

Hey All!

Just a quick update letting everyone know that we've got less than 10 hours left and about $800 to go to fully fund this album!

Please keep up the HUGE support by spreading the word during this last day. Feel free to forward the emails, link, or videos to anybody you think would be interested. We really appreciate it.

Update #2 and Transonic Recording Sessions!

Second, we've just finished up with our first recording session at Transonic Studios in Holliston, MA (www.transonicstudios.com). In just 3 days we were able to get drums, bass, and acoustic guitars tracked to 9 tunes that will be on the album. This is with huge thanks to the insane players we were able to work with, Josh Hari on bass and Nick Smith on drums. We also need to thank recording engineer Sean Killary for his absurd speed and technical know-how. And as always, producer Matt Ramey for keeping the ship on course; you are legend.

Update #1!

Hey Everybody!

We are completely blown away by the support you've all given. Speechless. Really. We can't say it enough - Thank You. We're at about 58% of funding with a solid 21 days still to go. That's simply incredible and we're super excited for the next three weeks. Please continue to spread the word so we can reach that goal and push passed!

It all started in a busy Boston restaurant. It was here, just blocks from Fenway Park where a waitress and a bartender found they had a much more in common than the aprons that hung from their waists. And here, frequent talks turned into a mutual revealing of a common dream: a career in music.

Haley was just about to graduate from Berklee College of Music. With her degree practically in hand, the next step in life seemed unclear. With the real world knocking on her door she found a need to balance herself and decided to start her own blues band.

Julian was at Northeastern University and a few months away from a diploma. Having studied a bit of everything and finally settling on business, there was one undeniable truth: he was a guitarist at heart.

Back at the restaurant, Haley’s band was short a guitar player, and it seemed that Julian would be the perfect fit.

Over the past 3.5 years Haley and Julian have been writing original music together. At the beginning, the musical direction wasn’t clear, and there was no real intent; they were just writing to write.

As time passed, the two found they had nearly 20 written songs that were essentially collecting dust. With the initial self-doubt that all artists inevitably feel hanging over their heads, it took the excitement and convincing of their friend and producer, Matt Ramey, to inspire them to take the leap and send their sounds out to the world.

This album, still untitled, will be the first professionally recorded and produced compilation of original music either of them has released. The combination of deeply rooted blues, jazz, R&B, and soul complements the emotion, grittiness, and catchy melodies these tunes have to offer. Haley’s sultry voice lures you in with raw emotion, while Julian’s tasteful solos keep you hoping that they never end. Loaded with brilliant vocals, soulful guitar work, and beautiful songwriting, this album will be sure to make the statement everyone has seen coming: these two have something to say.

The entire process is estimated to cost $6,335.00, from pre-production to CD duplication. These costs will cover recording, engineering, mixing, mastering, copyrighting, printing the disks, and musicians. Haley and Julian plan on entering the studio mid April for the first session, and finishing in early to mid May with a second session. They have a tentative release date set for July 17th 2012.
