Habitat

When you think of whitewater rafting you picture a fun family outing with a few splashes and beautiful scenery. When I think of whitewater rafting, I picture rushing water, a bond between close friends, and the sense of accomplishment from a day well spent in some of the most beautiful places on earth.

Washington State has been the setting for our film, Habitat. The story comes from the paddlers who have shaped the history of whitewater rafting in the Pacific Northwest. From raft guides, to company owners, to private boaters, Habitat will take you through the previous 35 years of their passionate history to progress whitewater rafting into what it is today.

Five years ago, Hans Hoomans and I unknowingly started a project when we planned some of the hardest whitewater runs that rafts had yet to complete. A couple years of filming and our never ending motivation to keep exploring the this region lead us to this documentary.

What we need:

We are in the final stages of production. We have been committed to this project from the beginning and have spent every penny we have to move this project forward. Your contribution will lead us in to the final stages of this project and help us reach our overall goal.
