About this project

We want to change the atmosphere of Baltimore through music and art with The Ear Candy Festival!

The Ear Candy Festival will highlight amazing independent and emerging artists from around the country with the intent to balance the musical atmosphere in Baltimore and the DMV (DC, Md, VA) area.

The Ear Candy Festival will be the conclusion of MAE (Musical Arts Enthusiast) Week. During MAE Week artists will be hands on with students in local schools, creating a one on one experience that will hopefully strike an artistic spark in some of our youth. By adding a mandatory community service component for featured artists during the week of the event, The Ear Candy Festival will incorporate a unique music education experience in local schools to help refocus the energy of area youth.

The original Ear Candy monthly series is proud to be able to allow the audience to connect with the artists through meet and greets & intimate performances, with The Ear Candy Festival this element would still be retained.

The original Ear Candy monthly series has featured great artists including Melanie Fiona, The Foreign Exchange, Yahzarah, PJ Morton, W. Ellington Felton, Lydia Caesar, Chester Gregory, Terrence Cunningham, Leah Smith, Kimberly Nichole, Marcell & The Truth, Maimouna Youssef, Megan Livingston, Darien Dean, Jon Bibbs, and more. With the Ear Candy Festival we hope to introduce even more artists that have talent, substance, and a heart for the community!

The money raised will create a much needed platform for talented artists to be heard while incorporating ways for these artists to touch the lives of Baltimore youth and young adults through great community service projects including teaching musical instrument courses, dj classes, discussing entertainment career opportunities, writing seminars, etc.

We want YOU to be apart of a movement taking hold of Baltimore that uses art, music, and community commitment to help keep the Charm in Charm City!
