New rewards! FIVE *additional* free games!
Hi all,
Home stretch! Just 20 hours to go. We're over 85% of the way there, but we still need $20K more. If you can help out and/or tell your friends, now is the time!
Meanwhile, the games community has enthusiastically rallied to our cause, raising existing pledges, spreading the word, and championing the games. We're honored and humbled.
One of our main goals with Sportsfriends was to provide a rallying call for the development of local multiplayer games - to show the world that, yes, it's still worth developing those kinds of games.
Already, a few of our indie friends have responded to the call. In support of our project, they've offered to contribute some games to the cause:
Five Additional Unreleased Local Multiplayer Games!
At the $60 tier, we'll be throwing in five unreleased local multiplayer games (for both Mac and PC) by some of our favorite indie developers:
A keyboard version of IGF-nominated iPad game Shot Shot Shoot, by Erik Svedäng (the creator of Blueberry Garden and Clairvoyance)
A home computer version of IndieCade-nominated motion control game Recurse, by Matt Parker (one of the minds behind Lumarca)
A brand new Kompendium-styled game by Michael Brough (the creator of Glitch Tank, Zaga-33, and Vertex Dispenser)
A brand new game prototype by Nicklas "Nifflas" Nygren (the creator of Knytt, Within a Deep Forest, and NightSky)
A brand new game prototype by Dom2D (the designer/illustrator who made the rad Sportsfriends fan art that we're now offering as one of our t-shirt options).
The $60 tier still includes the three unreleased games by Bennett, Noah, and Ramiro, including a new gamepad version of QWOP. That sums up to eight exclusive unreleased games!
Controller Charms
We also wanted to show off some photos of our adorable controller charm rewards:

(Thanks to Wiley Wiggins for the photos)
You can clamp those charms anywhere you want, though we recommend placing them at the end of your Move controller wriststrap. Play J.S. Joust in style!
The good folks at Ink It Labs will be manufacturing the charms for us, and produced those samples photographed above.
You can get a full set of seven charms at the $500 level - one charm for each controller!
But we've also decided to throw in one controller charm at the $100 level - something to make the t-shirt + credits tier just a little bit more special.
That's about it! Time is ticking - support Sportsfriends now!

I just saw the promotional video for this KS and realized you looked familiar ; We went to highschool together for a year in ninth grade. I was a foreign student and you were especially nice, and really helped me out in biology, so I'm glad I have this opportunity to say thanks by donating!
Looks like you've just been funded!
Congrats and good luck on the project!

Though I believe it would have been more beneficial to add more to the $30 tier, this does make me wish I had the available funds to bump myself up to $60. Unfortunately I don't, but I do hope these final hour incentives push Sportsfriends past the goal!
