I have a new song. Right now, it lives mostly in my head, but with your help, it will be recorded and it will sound awesome.
The 'Stranger You Know' project has been around for a few years. It essentially is a record, but one that has developed slowly as one or two songs get recorded a year and they are released as stand alone singles.
This is another song for that project. 'Cupid Painted Blind' is a phrase borrowed (stolen) from Shakespeare. I guess if one is to plagiarize might as well go and steal from the best, and I certainly will not be the first or last writer to do so. The quote is from 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' Act 1, Scene 1: "Love looks not with the eyes, but with the mind, and therefore is winged cupid painted blind."
I like the direction the song is taking me, essentially a love song, but not a ballad and I think it will appeal to the romantics as well as the not-so-romantics out there.
The idea is to record, mix and master the song during my next trip to Buenos Aires, Argentina during May 2012 and it will be all set to be delivered in June 2012.
